Arrows and Cartridges

I’m not here to try and dissuade having to craft ammo, I for one love having to craft my ammo. However, with the scarcity of resources and the addition of infinite ammo- why not just tone down the materials needed?

ie. make all arrows and bullets cost 1 of each needed material.
1 bar + 1 cloth + gunpowder
1 bar + 1 plank + feathers

I’ve seen some suggest that they just remove ammo all together, but I for one actually hope it stays. It also adds a purpose for engineering outside of boosters.

From the PTR notes:

  • Updated the Plentiful Arrows and Plentiful Shells bag perks:
    • Plentiful Shells was updated to be Plentiful Ammo and now states that it returns all ammo from any ranged weapon hit.
    • Any existing Bags with the Plentiful Arrows perk will now have Plentiful Ammo instead.

Which is great, but I’m burning through about 10k orichalcum cartridges a week. I imagine there are some who use even more than I do.

If you hit most of your shots, you’ll use hardly any ammo.

All three of my bags have plentiful shells, I assume this feature wont stack?

Not sure. I doubt it, but you’d have to test. You’d be making 2 bullets on each hit, hah. They would patch that.

This used to work with arrows. I fired rapid shot, it counted as one arrow, and you could get up to 5 arrows back. They patched it and it no longer works. Only one bag can trigger at a time.

great, so going to have to craft new bags now :frowning:
