Like I said though, I can keep going. There are a lot more instances of people disliking/hating the current size/thickness of the greatsword. It’s not like it’s just a few people being extra noisy about it.
If anything, omission potentially just shows that people don’t have any faith in the devs to actually change anything based on feedback (they got burned by the first PTR which didn’t change anything, so why would they try again?).

I think the horrendous gigantic design is to mask the absurd reach and homing this weapon has.
I’ve been looking at some videos, and man, does it reaches further than a spear and has better all around homing than the great axe.
It’s not a cosmetics choice apparently but in-tune with the accessibility embedded on it.

If my post was removed for not making a “friendly atmosphere” (as per the guidelines) then why are posts in this thread telling people to “stop crying” still up? Or what about the super-sarcastic posts. They don’t foster a friendly atmosphere.
I support this, I love the look but the sideholding while running is disgusting.

One thing that annoys me the most with the whole story: All I get is a “we’ve sent your feedback to the devs”. I’ve been complaining about the size of the 2 handed weapons since alpha, but not once have I heard something like “this is how it’s going to be, now shut up” or “we’ve decided to go this artistic route because…”.
I saw the latest video and was wondering about those pottery graphics being Greek, not Roman, but I don’t have enough artistic education to make sure. I also kept thinking the Romans are known for their shortsword, the gladius and their spear, the pilum. But I can suspend my disbelief for that one.
Like I’ve already said, if you are looking for a problem. You will find it. Everyone on the forums complains. You won’t see people coming to the forums to talk about how good the design the greatsword is, you just won’t. Many of the people in my company, and on the server I play on (CoS), don’t hate design. Mostly they think it is alright, some think the top is disproportionate in size to the hilt (like me) but still don’t hate the design. If you really hate it so much, there are named drops that look different, and twitch drops and other GS skins will come out, and so will transmog eventually.
The killer part about this, is just a few weeks ago they put up a twitter player design event to let people make designs for the greatsword.
So, it is obvious that they are working on the look - Anyway- xD
There was a whole topic dedicated to this type of un-even handed moderation that got deleted.
It’s a pity that AGS didn’t even change the animation when you hold it in your hands and how the greatsword is positioned on your back =(

We never ignore feedback. It’s always recieved, processed and then a decision made. Sometimes it’s not always the decision you’d want but it wasn’t for the lack of listening. The size was adjusted and we had more feedback of players loving the size and having fun with it.
They adjusted to get the Asian mmo weebs man
Freaking love the Greatsword size. Honestly there are so many different options. As we get more skin options, which let people override their current sword, I’m sure more people will be happy. Would be cool to see a more realistic one as an option for some people though. With that and the eventual transmog, it’s an easy fix and everyone is happy.
Of course the size is a problem.

I agree with you, the people you usually hear are the loud minority. And that isn’t a knock against them, everyone is 100% entitled to their opinion. Like you said though when you log onto the forums you will see a lot of complaints and it becomes an echo chamber. So now it feels like “most” people think the sword is too big or don’t like it and that’s in most cases not true. I think it is a video game, so I don’t see the issue with a massive sword.
