i just make charcoal for all my money and really only respec when getting my but handed to me in opr like ill drop 400 con for 300 str sop i actually will do a fairly decent ammount of damage and actually get score points because as a straight beefy tank i make nothing half the games ill play itll be over the second it starts and im sitting with 100 score becausee i have all my points in con. i run 2k charcoal on one full inv of green wood and place it on the market at 0.38/0.40 and walk away with 600 gold in a matter of secons and its hella eassy to make
Its funny, I had never thought about it, but on my main character I have never once reset my attributes since I hit 60. Never found the need… but I also don’t do anything but play DPS… interesting.
Why is it even attribute stat based for different gathering bonuses? This is just a WEIRD game mechanic.
Bonus should be based on you profession level. Level 100 in logging because you cut 10,000 trees so you probably know what youre doing - Here is a 10% cut speed! Level 200 in logging? Heres a 20% chance to cut a tree in 1 hit!
But New World wants its based on stats on armor and attribute? “Oh youre level 1 in logging and never seen a tree in your life but you have this really nice cloth outfit - you get all the logging bonuses!”

true they should change it to use azoth or make it free don’t understand what the point is in charging for something like that.
what if they make reset free only in towns, not only for attributes but for weapons too
wouldn’t that be a better way for AGS to encourage build diversity, and players testing different styles in general

The more I play nw, the more I think that the “classless” route just isn’t the move.
If I enjoy a certain build I dont respec for days.
It is a rare thing tho as I am getting bored quite easily if I play a certain build for more than a week or even five days in a row. I like variety.
I currently have 5 setups with decent gear and switching between them requires me to respec every single time (that is if I want to have the most out of a certain build) which results in me respecing at least 2 times per day before finishing my session.
400-600g may not seem like a lot but for the people who spent most of their time doing PvP (casual or otherwise) it’s just money down the drain because u don’t generate much gold just PvPing. Whilst you still need to buy potions, food, honing stones, etc. So this is just an unecessary cost for people who play more than 2 builds and want to enjoy the most out of it.
So I vote yes.

That’s vey true, i love farming, some people are just perfectionists and want to see the full potential of something for example farming 30-40k of wood you def need to reset, have the full set for it trophies etc.
I mean loadouts are about to be here would be great to hit a button, and have my pvp set with all atr perfectly saved, then I want to farm 20-30k fibers hit another button whole set comes in with 250int tht would be great
I wish i could, if i did would be very costly in the long run, that’s why i think we should be free from it, usually people don’t mind paying the 200g if they don’t do a lot of diverse things(Farm every type of things, PVP, PVE Expeditions, chest runs).
So how about just not doing that?
I mean the capstones are not even that important in order to farm. But when it comes to pvp and pve, the soultion is pretty simple, at least for me. I personally spent all my attributes points on constitution because it’s pretty universal, fits every role and it’s usefull overall to have more health. But I can’t then have 300 points spent on other attribute from my gear, but I don’t mind, I don’t even need it
