Authentification Error message attempt for help #2

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: did literally everything the forums have said probably 10 times. I even reinstalled the game 5 times. Flush dns, change file names, anti cheat, verify files, reset comp. i have tried everything

  • When did this happen? (Date and Relative time; please include your timezone) happened 2 days ago. i had this issue like 2 weeks back but it randomly went away then when we got this updaste 1.55 it started happeneing again. im not sure what else to do here

Hope you are doing well.

It’s really sad to see that you are facing this issue while logging in.

Hence I request you to kindly follow the below mentioned steps once:

  • Uninstall the game
  • Delete these folders :
  • C:\Users(your comp name)\AppData\Local\AGS
  • C:\Users(your comp name)\AppData\Roaming\AGS
  • Reinstall the game.

Then

  • Press Windows key + R
  • Type %appdata%
  • Go to AppData > Roaming > AGS > New World.
  • Delete the Savedata folder and the user_preload_settings.cfg file.
  • Reboot the PC and you’ll see that the files deleted would be recreated

And in case none of them works then please contact our Support by going to :arrow_double_down:

Be sure to have your game logs ready in case they ask for them:

Provide the latest 3 logs from: Users\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups

Instructions for finding the in-game logs:

  1. Press Windows+R on the keyboard, type %appdata% and press enter.
  2. Open the most recent file from this folder: /AppData/local/AGS/LogBackups.
  3. Paste the contents of the file into your message.

how many times do i need to do this. i already said that i have done all these steps several times. i uninstalled and reinstalled 5 or 6 times just yesterday. is this all you can do for me to be honest it is quite pathetic since this is the same shit i have been doing for 3 straight days. i have over 2400 hours in the game and this just started happening

literally takes two days to get a response and it is a copy pasta of the shit that doesnt work. dead game cant even let people play… terrible

reinstalled and did all the above still not working. i contacted chat last night and today and opened several tickets. I posted logs and everything. I am missing out on double xp and massive amounts of money from the double exp weekend. this is ridiculous. i feel like i am playing a game from the 90s where there is no tech support or answers available
