Friend of mine was auto banned for 24 hours with no warnings or explanation. Saw the article that this was a common problem. Companies mass reporting people signed up for wars on the opposing faction.
Sad to see Moderator_Z was silenced for something that would have been a proper response to this problem.

There is no person banning people. its 100% a bot. I was banned for 24 hrs, not a friend or some guy I know. My officer was banned as well. Then last night a war for First Light was going to happen. The company that owned it, the leader got banned, his officers got banned, we lost First Light cause no one was there to work the War Board, so a buncha level 20’s got put randomly in to fight the horde of Purple who are all like lvl 50+ in the army.
If this is not an Auto ban, then you must have monkey’s for a moderation team that just click ban on every report that is ever sent to them. The blatant an obvious lies and obfuscation of this system and how it works, has my entire server paralyzed in fear.
Im level 60, and I don’t want to, no correction, I am SCARED to PVP as I have already been banned by this system for no reason. Hell I turned off Global and Area chat, and don’t even talk to the enemy anymore. No more fun banter, no more trying to be cheeky and or joke with them. I’m afraid to show my face because I have a REPORT ON SIGHT target on my back now.
No matter WHAT the system is, its broke. It needs to be shut off until further notice, and it needs to be addressed. These people false reporting to ruin this game, are doing exactly that.
Our whole alliance of Marauders has decided to do NOTHING but defend, and pray they don’t get banned.
This game went from full out amazing, to full on broken in 2 seconds flat.

blocking continues, I was blocked for 7 days for no reason, on a false accusation for 4 days the support did not respond, my mood is at zero

Do a chargeback of your credit card. Like im going to refund this game if I get banned again for no reason.

have had people in my company banned for no reason, support will not say what was supposedly said to get them banned, and appeals take longer than the ban. This shit is being exploited to influence wars by banning top pvpers and leaders of wars. This needs to be fixed.

I haven’t been affected but would hate to be. They really do need to either stop the ban system for now until a fix is in place or put a fix in like now.

Ya this is pissing me off as well, this ban exploitation system for auto bot banning people to benefit a company to winning a war, just ban the enemy companys leader, this is bullcrap, this is so Rigged. This bot banning system needs to be REMOVED!!!

This crap is really breaking the end game. Company leaders and officers are being banned in order to fix wars to make them easy to win without leadership to control who fights or not.
I am completely staying away from PVP until they fix this issue because it’s literally game breaking and all they have to say is “ThErE’s No BoTs”

I think they are literally too far removed and stupid to understand that people would at least take sympathy if they said “oops we fucked up, were going to fix it.” BUT Corporate gonna corporate.
its privacy to why they dont disclose reasons and if the said person was banned ( disregard amazons stupid auto ban method ) i could exploit the same method or bully the person i just banned …
catch 22 though seems to me some ban moderators look for words or actions that breach tos or do half arsed investigations anyway so instead of banning repeat offenders they ban people who get baited by arseholes who report you just for fun !!
ive taken to just walking away from that shit now while im passionate about everyone having a decent gaming experience and nobody should be abused for playing differently ive had quite a few brushes with baiting arseholes and just elitist pricks that make mmos toxic
and copped a few bans and a perma ban from ffxiv forums !!
Agreed, I’m just happy new world makes it… slightly less available for people to bait-report you. I’ve stolen someone’s iron mine (we raced to it) and we both just crouched and stood a couple times to acknowledge each other. No chat, since it’s so full of trash it’s hard to even keep up. I’ve also done dungeon runs where no one talks, so it’s all good. Kinda refreshing vs some other games these days.
EDIT: I meant only in PvE, I recognize the pvp world is having issues with mass reports. I should have said “most people are chill” one would probably more likely to think of the general population vs the PVP players
Oh, they finally respond to emails… but its very generic and they will not tell you why either way even if its a spam report… hope they fix these issues because they truly don’t give a crap… lol

Yep, Amazon prides themselves as being a serious and massive company but when it comes to game support and fixing things like this Report Exploiting and players getting auto banned Everywhere, Amazon is working very slowly and not showing much results.
This is very disappointing and Amazon needs to step it up or hire 50 more game designers to kick this Everything up a notch, if they don’t have enough employees to handle the demand of players and handle the demand of the bugs, they need to hire ALOT more and like right now because as of right now, New World is dying from angry players, I know of hundred man guilds that are quitting because they are getting fed up with there guild leader getting banned before a war so there is no competition, this Report Exploit system is ridiculous!
AMAZON, if you think players are going to wait 3 months for you to fix this and you also need to be working on more game content, the game is lacking big time and Endgame level 60 does not have much content to do, the game will get boring quick.
If you think players will wait 3-5 months for you to add more content seriously and fix this EXPLOIT REPORTING ISSUE, you have something new to learn because by than Half of your player database will have requested a refund or quit New World entirely.

I think you owe “Moderator_z” an apology, this is absolutely hilarious. “Easy Anti-Cheat” is essentially a bot that bans, kicks or suspends people based on “hybrid anti–cheat mechanisms” automatically.

I don’t think he does. Easy anti cheat will ban people when it reads through your files and detects modified files and such. Sometimes EaC will falsely detect modified files causing people to be banned for no reason. This patch note however is saying that people will be given a message telling them why they were banned. EaC has absolutely nothing to do with any games Code of Conduct reporting system. That would be another (internal?) program if they choose to use one but according to @NW_Mugsy they don’t. Marauders in my server have been blowing up about Syndicate mass reporting people to get them banned. They used one guy today as an example because he was banned right before a war and was one of the defending companies leadership. However what they don’t know is that this guy that was banned said the n word in global chat of all places and was promptly reported for it. He said it and was reported 2 days ago. I would hope an auto ban system wouldn’t take that long. Gold selling bots get mass reported the second they post in chat, they still last for several hours. I think it’s safe to say the bans are in fact processed by humans and most people being banned probably said something they shouldn’t have somewhere. At least on my server people have been extremely toxic to members of other factions and that kinda goes against the Code of Conduct no abusive chat thing.

Ok ok we legimate need a straight answer, so no bots are used in any of the bans even the 24 hour bans?. Just curious seen lads regarding half their company with 24 hour bans before wars begin including their leaders.
I guess i could imagine it but hard to believe 50-60 lads getting 24 bans all from the same company within a day of their war.
I don’t believe any of them ofcourse but when you see post after post regarding it. Some answers could help correct this.
Most software has APIs that can have another system perform functions for it, in this case a reporting system.
Not sure, but perhaps the mod was being technical when he said it wasn’t a bot. Perhaps technically it isn’t a bot but just an automated system. Bots usually are defined by having AI functionality. Regardless, they all know what we meant when we said bot banning.
uhh, there is a form of auto banning, enough reports on a player has temp banned plenty, ive watched hostile aggressive players that are toxic get hit with a mute ban xD which im not complaining about, im glad that Amazon isnt allowing toxic behavior, and i hope to see more actions taking against such toxic players, it make the game feel better
