Little rant (skip if you want, just a response to xJovo)
more constructive opinion below
Judging others playstyle? no. you can rush all you like i dont mind.
Sorry for the offence,
however is not this game built on the idea of exploration?
Did the developers not go through good effort to make an engaging lore to discover?
is pvp not more fun when you encounter someone in a suprising time and a suprising place?
(the alternatave being everyone at the same places all the time repeatedly mobbing and camping)
im not trying to enforce my way of playing to others, i just find it sad that in games, i see too many people in a rush for the greatest efficiency, and practically burn themselves out trying to level as fast as they can.
and i feel sad for the creaters who put much effort into content only to have it skipped over.
by the time you go back to the low level arias all you have left are mindless fetchquests and kill quests. making the game seem boring.
i have seen many players fun be leached away by forgetting to actually play the game in their rush to reach the end/get the best equipment/discover the meta ect.
pvp i get it, if that is all you want to do, getting to where you want to be quickly is advantageous, and being max level, makes a good level ground between yourself and your opponents so level gaps cant interfere and pvp is a major part of the game.
However remember this game does have many community’s playing it, and as pointed out with many game styles. i believe makeing travel too easy changes the balance of the game too much and moves the game away too far from what i feel is the developers vision for the game
Rant over
to expand on what i said before, i feel if travel becomes too easy, the economy and trade between towns would change drastically. nodes for materials would become more contested due to being easyer to reach and some of this games variety would be lost.
i also fear the quality of the players gameplay may suffer, due to less people walking about on the field, it would be more crouded in the hotspots, and practically barren in others. also random encounters of the pvp kind(1 v 1) would likley end up just being mobbings due to concentrated population at travel points.
easyer fast travel seems like it would be more convenient on the surface, but i think it would defeat the purpose of some of the games mechanics and reduce spontaneous behaviour and events
the game developers, decided to give a sense of isolation to each town and region through various means, and i believe increasing the azoth cap could be counter productive to this vision.
