I believe the Azoth system to be a bit too harsh on players…
1000/1000 Azoth Cap
Currently Azoth caps at 1000 Azoth, I believe this to be too restrictive because users often hit this cap, waste loads of Azoth because it is going nowhere and then they start using their Azoth and then need that Azoth that was lost because of the cap…
It especially affects users trying to do certain quests that have you jumping location to location over and over.
Increasing the Azoth cap through rewards
I believe users should be able to increase their Azoth cap in a few ways:

If you complete all side quests for a territory your Azoth cap would be increased by 50 Azoth as a reward. This can be done for all territories.

If you complete all side quests for every territory + main story quest then your Azoth cap would be increased by 1000 as a reward.

If you max out a trade skill to 200 then your Azoth cap would be increased by 50 Azoth as a reward. This can be done for all trade skills.

Trade skills are split into “Crafting”, “Refining” and “Gaterhing”. If you max all trade skills within a category then your Azoth cap would be increased by 275 Azoth. This can be done for all trade skill categories and then once you max all 3 categories you receive a further 275 Azoth
While #1 and #3 appear to be rather small and won’t make a big difference to the game, it is just there to add a tiny reward so they don’t feel it’s worthless. If you make progress and then complete #2 or #4 then you get a much bigger reward, one of which is a more useful.
Another way I believe you should receive Azoth cap increases is through the following:
- Reaching level 60 increases your Azoth cap by 50.
- Completing a dungeon for the first time your Azoth cap increases by 50 Azoth (Per dungeon)
All in all, for me I would get an increase of:
50 - For reaching level 60
250 - For completing 5 dungeons
50 - For reaching level 200 on a trade skill
450 - For completing all side quests in 9 territories.
Therefore my cap would increase to 1750 Azoth.
Max rewards you could receive:
- 50 for reaching level 60
- 850 for each trade skill
- 1100 for maxing each trade category
- 300 for completing each expeditions
- 700 for completing side quests in each town
- 1000 for completing all side quests + all main quests
That totals a maximum of 4000 Azoth, bringing your cap to 5000.
Passively refilling Azoth
Another way that can help people on low Azoth/that have ran out of Azoth is to passively refill Azoth over time.
That can be achieved through providing it to everyone OR by adding an item perk that allows Azoth regeneration of 1 Azoth every x time played.
Maybe something like 10 Azoth every 30 minutes~
Bottling Azoth
If you reach your Azoth cap, maybe we should add a way to “bottle” your Azoth into empty Azoth bottles that you can only get through end-game dungeons so we don’t waste so much Azoth.
If we had super rare bottles that could only be found in Lazarus and/or Genesis then it would give more purpose to those dungeons and users could then get a bottle and fill it up with 200 Azoth that they can then either use at a later date OR sell it on the market for gold.
Maybe make it so they only drop once a player has completed ALL side quests & all main story quests… that way it gives even more reason for users to complete those quests as I know many level 60s that haven’t completed side quests outside their first 1-2 territories…
