All the travel can be a hassle, but I also like that it adds more value to holding multiple adjacent territories. Now there is more of a reason to do that, so you can access storing from neighboring settlements. Also, traveling isn’t such a bad thing - it’s a beautiful world after all.
I feel it should just be azoth costs outside of a town or shrine. In town - free.

I have a love/hate relationship with Azoth. Depending on what activities I’m focusing at the moment, I could either be tapped out or have maximum azoth + banked vials. Currently I’m at Azoth cap, and I have ~20 vials in the bank. I’ve been doing a lot of Outpost Rush and getting Azoth cap without even realizing it. However, Azoth still really annoys me, and I believe 99% of the problem is having a cap on it. WHY?
TL;DR if you remove the Azoth cap it wouldn’t be an annoyance and it can be the feature I’m sure it was intended to be.
I disagree. Making azoth any easier to obtain will directly devalue gold, and items. If I run out of azoth, of course it’s not the highlight of my gameplay, but I do the best strategy of farming level 25-35 portals solo. Not only does it give a bunch of territory standing to further reduce my taxes, it fills up my azoth.
For me, it is enjoyable.
Why to spend hours on portals when you can go to pirate camp and get 300 in like 10 runs?
The way azoth works makes me want to explore less not more.

The TL:DR was when you are mass moving dozens of full inventories across the world non stop when dealing with huge amounts of refining, it got to an extreme
I get ya man, I try to just set aside a time to do some Corruption runs and a few runs of Amrine in between harvesting to top off the azoth, and all my tools have the ol Azoth bonus just to help along the way
I like Azoth for crafting, don’t mind it for respeccing, but it is utter garbage as a basis of a fast travel system.
Its a continuation of this games core design strategy of going past grindy and into tedious. Everything about this game is designed to make everything as painstakingly time/resource consuming as possible.
If the system has to stay, at least pro rate the azoth cost on the % of inventory used, not the weight. Its like another bullshit tax on getting better bags.
When people find it much easier to log out or just suicide, perhaps Azoth needs to be revisited and reconsidered.

I mgoing to tell you a secret, equip an azoth atuned ori pickaxe with luck and go hit rocks, not only you ll replenish azoth in no time but depending on your server you ll make between 3 to 6k gold an hour doing so…
But sh… its a secret i think lol
yup, and at the rate the population has dropped off they best get fixing things before there not enough people left to fix it for… MMO’s and economy’s rely on population and this one is tanking fast
