I was watching a video from Asmongold recently and he mentioned Azoth is driving the players away from the game. I paused for a second, because he’s right…
What if I want to log into the game and visit places like the most south beach I could find? Nobody can afford that, you’d be out of Azoth in no time. I can barely survive teleporting between BW/EF/WW with 3 major houses.
Azoth is limiting the number of players that can enjoy the game, and also limiting the hours of playtime of current players.
Also the latest dev video promised they would decrease the cost of Azoth in travel. Did that happen and we missed it? It STILL costs me 400+ Azoth to travel to the nearest town.
Do you think it makes sense even for the most simple people out there to farm something hours just to spend it in 5 seconds? They’ll say “fuck you” and move on to something else.
You must be traveling with your entire house. With that aside I also saw the video and even though I kinda like the system to a certain degree I think for the overall health of the game it would be wise to remove it and leave it to crafting.
Possibly have it more involved in crafting? More Azoth and you can tailor certain things with less RNG? Idk just shooting from the hip here
Yeah, using a capped currency, that is shared with crafting, to travel is unnecessary. Traveling portal to portal should be FREE just as from the wilds to a House/Inn. Keep the cost to reset house/inn on cooldown and for a port from the wilds. Portal to portal is just nonsense.
I get the argument of, “Weight and distance require more energy.” It’s a fantasy game meant to be FUN though, and this game is certainly NOT a simulation. Will our characters age as well? Wait, injuries can be healed but slow you down over time (the speed bug is actually realism?).
Leadership of the developement team needs to get over the silly Azoth cost already.
Do you want to debate another faulty mechanic in the game? Sure… Storage vaults. I’m almost never lighter than half an inventory because EVERY storage I have is full, even First Light.
