I really don’t understand the problem. My friend made me a couple bags with azoth collection. I travel all over the map and stay capped for Azoth. If for some reason I drop below 50% (usually crafting with Azoth) I just go to the nearest herb patch and my Azoth starts filling up.
I have no idea what paying for Azoth even means. My guess is maybe selling/buying in trading post??? That’s absurd.
Clearly travel is a necessity to you, or you would not have made this thread. Maybe you should save your coin for a house, or 3. Houses make travel 10x better and cheaper, you can reset the cooldown for a very low cost of azoth and recall with full bags. Coin is easy to come by if you’re questing and leveling, and with the 50% off your first house you can have a tier 1 cheap and easy.
Houses are the best things in the game to spend your coin on. Period. So whatever else you’re spending it on, aint worth it. Especially if you’re complaining about travel costs.
edit: Wow I just read that this guy has a house already and 10K coin, yet refuses to pay tax on it. Ok no point in debating this guy lol.
TLDR: this and many other things I think are leftovers that dont make sense once full loot pvp and item loss/decay/death.
I think this and a lot of other things made a lot more sense when the game was hard core. The intent (I think) was to make it difficult to follow/jump all over the map. Fast travel was intended to be expensive so that you could exhaust your enemy/yourself trying to be too many places at once.
It is also why so many items seem redundant or stupid to make and useless. If you can not repair an item, If you are losing a sword or whatever every time you die… you will use/go through/find and lose again an assortment off weapons. Bring out your big guns for wars when theyre not prone to loss/decay.
I could be totally wrong on all counts but I was told about this game a whiiiile back it from a darfall friend. He chose to not even play it after they turned it into a more soft core pve type game. I see SO many things make sense if the game were more hardcore “all in high stakes” in theory. Darkfall is a good example.
I prefer this to full loot pvp, but I think it might be a better game with full pvp/pve servers ala WoW. personally… If the entire game were strictly like that, id prly not play long. If they had a couple servers for that crowd and different rule sets on pve servers, they could try to almost make everyone happy.
My faction is back and forth… not sure what that implies though. I dont think the percentage of azoth collection matters? (I could be wrong… I only recently starting paying attenion to that).
I’d venture to say I average about 10-15 azoth per minute farming herbs, hemp, and dragonglory in the south of Mourningdale.
I admit I am on a sparsely populated server so maybe that has something to do with it. Like I said, this is a problem I have a hard time understanding because it doesnt exist for me, my regular group, or anyone in my company. Ironically, we had a conversation just yesterday hoping the devs would start nerfing azoth collection because we fast travel everywhere and it seems we were missing out on a lot content between settlements.
buy a T3 or t4 tool of what u like to farm, make sure it has the azoth thing on it; ur good to go, or betray ur faction, and join the one coloring ur map, cheap fast travel, enjoy.
How come none of you are talking about just running to a fort with azoth discount… capping and then traveling…? If your server is truly low pop it should be even easier to solo cap.
Also you can solo level 25 portals starting at 30… As long as you’re a higher level than the portal they are usually soloable unless it’s splicer…
yea look at that. all u have to do is start a thread complaining and we’re giving u all the strategies from all the youtube streamers u didn’t want to watch, just so we all don’t lose a tradehouse again, and ad-free. Enjoy.
I often log in and start doing some of the Town projects and after 3 or 4 hours of game play I wind up spending 75% of it running town to town to avoid spending all my Azoth on teleports.
I understand the idea of spreading my supplies across towns in a balanced way but I don’t want to have to manage spread sheets to insure I have a copies of all my resources in each town. At least lower the costs - and in before you tell me to support my faction taking an area to get reduced costs…it should be FREE when your faction owns the territory. regardless, as someone who has no interest in PVP until the kinks are ironed out of it and I am max level. For now I just want to gather, craft, and quest.
Love the fundamentals of the game but I have logged in, checked the Town Project board and realized I had the items for the quests…spread across 5 towns.
I have the Azoth gathering bonuses, it’s nice I can earn 1 Azoth for every other node I farm…I’ll only need to farm about 130 nodes to earn enough to teleport once…
I do not mind grinding at all, I am only level 31 but I am at 169 harvesting, 112 mining, 135 skinning, and 97 logging. I love to gather…when I WANT to, not because I need to earn 87 Azoth to teleport…
I have logged in and off within 5 mins numerous times after checking the Town Projects board and thinking about spending the next 3 hours running from town to town to do some projects.
Lower the prices, it makes the game WORK, not fun.
Let’s not forget that some servers, like mine, can’t even get an Outpost rush going because there are barely 100 active players (200 online) and 20% of them are level 60 - just barely hitting the threshold for an OPR. Much of the game is stinted when a population threshold isn’t met. The best population quote i’ve experienced is around the 500-700 marker. There are constant activities being run.
Same here. I constantly get warning messages saying I’m at or near the Azoth limit. I’m only just approaching level 28 though so maybe things change later in the game? I’m taking my time and doing all side quests and faction quests which adds Azoth but I guess so does everyone else.
You really do though. The random azoth drops from mob kills, azoth from harvesting (if you dont have crappy tools I guess), azoth from quests, azoth from Outpost Rush. There really are so many ways to come up with azoth I find it harder to not actually be able to afford fast travel.
