Amazon cares, If you hade 1 server with 2000 people they would shut you down. You are wrong.
Iâm at this point unsure if you are serious or if you are trolling? Nobody cares about dead servers that 2/3 weeks ago were as almost full? What is your IQ mate?
Sure it can, if you were already on the fence. If you are having a good time nothing is getting you to quit because of a youtube video or some streamer. Yes they can sway someone who is not really sure or is already thinking of quitting.
The other day one of out friends came on discord to ask how it was going and the answers made me realize that 2 of the 4 I play with are feeling quite meh and not ready to recommend this game to others.
Lucky us the game sold millions of copies and there are millions playing it every day. Even if the peak numbers drop, people just play less hours etc - go look up the total player base that logs in every freakin day. Stop focusing on the peak, it is irrelevant for a 24/7 available product.
Has zip to do with any of that and more to do with the game is just bad.
Not any more complicated than that.
Have you forgotten that everybody and their dog got a free transfer token?
Everybody who knows something about major game releases, knows the issue - the hype is gone, the core player base is like 1/8th of the release player base. So the remaining servers will be shut down/merged or people will get free transfers. In that case everybody got a free transfer and on top of that the servers will be merged, this is why clusters exists like Vanaheim Psi where i play.
So yeah, nobody cares are there are solutions for that issue already. Specifically there are solutions that players can use freely on their own.
Have any proof for these claims? Show me the total number that log in daily. Please give me a link and not ask me to go add up all the players on the server.
Peak is not irrelevant when it drops every single week for 6 weeks. You are making a lot of claims based on imagination and lies.
Want to also point out to all those links, they show online at that point, not how many people logged in that day. If the average is 250k online at any time, that could mean there are 1 million + players that logged in that day.
I already provided you a link and told you to add up the population from all relevant servers during the different times when those servers are populated. Thatâs all we have, the total player number is not public, AGS did not state how many players are active now or how many copies were sold in total etc. so we can compare those.
But the real data is out there, visible every second.
The situation is - the game is enjoyable, new content is planned and already on the PTR, server merges will be happening in the future (hopefully next year, they shall focus more on bugs for now and quality of life features like paid server transfers), the core player base that is really interested in that game is happy and AGS confirmed that the game was a success for them - not a failure. So we are good to go.
And again stop looking at a peak number for a product that is available 24/7 worldwide. This is the worst metric that you can apply in that case.
WHile peak may not be the best metric, the fact is has dropped every sunday for 6 straight weeks is telling. No matter what mental gymnastics you want to do.
Adding up the totals means nothing, since it changes constantly. Its no better than using peak since you might count the same player more than once if add it up more than once a day and try to claim that is the count
This is the worst possible metric. You need to check total sold copies, add family share accounts on top of that and then check those numbers against actual active players that log in daily or almost daily. Then you will see the real numbers.
Until then everything is thin air and bullcrap.
And the peak number means nothing. The peak number just reflects one thing - how many people were logged into the game at exactly that specific moment. Since the product is available worldwide, that exact specific moment is when people sleep, work or study. Or take a shit.
If you guys just Google ânew word player countâ you will see that most estimations have it at 17 million player base with 1.6 million playing each day which is what I predicted based on the peak numbers.
Dead game indeed
Family share is gone and they dont count because they did not buy a seperate copy.
Reading forums and getting informations from yt and other sources often makes me thinking if i should play now and further in general. Theorycrafting and bad assumptions can distract people from a game, although they have fun.
Read that article again, they also say they think all beta and alpha testers might be counted in that 17 million. If you think this game sold 17 million copies and amazon never said 1 word about that kind of total you are kidding yourself.
Family share was restored in some cases through support and i think those are more than just a few cases. And of course they do count - those are active players ingame, does not matter if they have a copy of the game via family share or via a separate account.
ZYou have no numbers to back up your claim and the one number easy to find and shows decline you claim is flawed. It makes your entire argument a joke and nothing but denial. Your claims are based on false beliefs.
AFAIK family share couldnât be counted anyways, as it only allows 1 person on at a time.
Are you serious right now? Of course it sold 17 million copies. Way more than this. How is it even possible to debate that??
Itâs not that it matters as to who is playing nowâŚ
Show me anything but 1 website making that estimate as proof of more than 17 million copies. Do you realize how big a moment that would have been? Amazon would be telling you all about it if that number was true. Its very possible to debate because you have no proof. Is this concept that hard to understand?
Tell me how many is way more? do you believe 25 million copies? 20? what is it?
