Balance musket damage

its not fair that i have to hit 7 times for them to die… while i get 2 shooted by bows 1 shooted by axes and 2 shooted by everything else… if u gonna nerf musket at least balance the damage between bow and musket.

If it takes you 7 hits to kill a light armor player with musket, you may have put your attributes into the wrong place lmao

300 DEX 160 int… even higher with food buff… im telling u … it takes a lot of hit to kill someone with a musket after the nerf… its retarded.

OP has a point, but it’s not just the musket, other weapons still do little to no damage depending on the opponent. I’m doing 600-700 to a healer in OPR, he just walks around me and heals, my attacks are not even moving his health bar. Some builds, especially in PvP are just not balanced.

jesus dont nerf the bow its already tough to kill any1 too and it is not hitscan like the musket. Musket excels at further range thats a no brainer. They both have their places. But so many heavy paladins running around still u feel useless against most but i mean thats just part of the meta right now. We still have our place though can rip through some medium and light users no doubt

You’re probably shooting someone in heavy armor if it takes that many shots!!! There’s no way even medium armor would take 7 hits, let alone light. Pick your targets better. Go for squishies. :wink:

Yeah no… it’s pretty lame. I’ll shoot a dude who is in light armor using a bow. (I know he’s in light armor because he’s rolling around.)

Does about 1300 damage a shot and that includes the enhanced magic damage from a 275dex/150int build.
Does about 800 to a person in heavy armor.

Musket is kinda poo right now considering I have to root myself to load an ability shot.

Yeah mate, i still get 2 shot from musket, you doing something very wrong. If you hittinh heavy armor that’s normal, takes bow also many shots to kill heavy armor.

I totaly agree with you. Muskets take TOOOOO long to kill a player. Least when compared to other weapons. It would be nice if damage was increased to offset how bad it is in most other aspects.

You do if you miss 6 times. But at least on my server most have switched up to at least med armor and some con instead of pure glass.

Bows should do more damage the muskets it’s a fair trade off given that muskets can hit moving target easier.

  1. muskets are clunky right now after the patch but just about every weapon feels like that.

  2. The Forced reload animation is just broken. You get stuck in ath .3 second animation even if you break it to do something else. If you try to dodge after a shot and you’re not fast enough, you have to break that reload animation before you can do so. Same with eating food’s/potion or any other action. It’s something that has been around for a long time and needs to be fixed.

3, the dodge roll shot needs to be fixed as well. You should not able
to break the animation of dodge roll to shoot faster and gain the reload and crit bonus.

I actually think they should lower musket damage, but add innate armor pen to it. Muskets are the reason I cant use light armor anymore. Lowering damage would maybe make using light armor more viable, which would give you more squishy targets, and armor pen would make muskets do a bit more to tanks…

The same could be done for bow to a degree also, but bows are hard to hit with so idk, they might be fine as is.

Allow for different types of ammo. So instead of using a bullet that gives a 1.3 damage mod a player could use one that has a lower damage mod but gives x% penetration.

it does have a 10% armor pen passive

first reply to you was meant as a joke. And you have to factor accuracy in when considering dps. It’s harder to land a shot with a bow on a target that is actively evading you compared to a musket. But the bow hits like a truck when you land a good shot which is a fair trade off.

Has anyone tested that? the perk appears to be talking blocking without a shield.

Have you tried bow + spear/rapier with heavy armor? Does it work?

I have not but I see it sometimes . It’s just too …idk the words for it …. But it is not my style ? I like the high reward (damage) high risk (I get instakilled)

I agree, I like that too, but if the damage penalty isn’t that much, it maybe a good path to take, I’ll try it and see if its worthwhile.
