I know these threads are probably a daily occurrence, but I finally got a friend to roll on fresh start and he got a 24 hour ban for botlike behavior, which was “confirmed” through the initial appeal process. Here’s the thing though…he streams his entire play on Twitch, with a cam. So you can clearly tell when he is there, when he is afk, etc. How is your appeal process messing this up? And how are you detecting and denying appeals for real people while you can still regularly see bots going around? I can understand initial detection issues, but how are you not getting it during the appeal process?
Quite a few folks have had to submit multiple appeals before along with any footage they may have. No one here will be able to help, only the support folks. Best of luck!
Appeals are typically ignored. I really can’t believe AGS still hasn’t improved from the cheap outsourced support.
Send a ticket in with linked photo/video and you’ll usually get an automated response a few minutes later claiming they “reviewed it” even though the linked media has no clicks or views.
I had a glitch on my character a while back that I was trying to get resolved, and support replied about 5 times saying my “lost ark account would remain banned” even after repeatedly stressing that this was about New World, and that it was about a glitch, not a ban appeal ![]()
My buddy says he’s now at 4 appeals filed, and AGS stopped answering after the second. Just completely useless support in this game. I had sold him on fresh start because there were no streamers at all on the server, most wars have been without any stream to watch. And he gets a 24 hour ban and ignored by AGS just before he gets to 60. It’s incredibly disappointing.
Are you sure they aren’t just backed up? I’ve seen people get replies to even hundreds of appeals. It’s unfortunate that that’s how it has to work.
Sure, maybe! But it’s a 24 hour ban, we’re now about 12 hours since it took place. What’s the point of the appeal if the ban is over before it’s appealed?
I mean, if it’s a 24 hour ban I wouldn’t personally appeal it, but.
He’s a streamer, hoping to get some regular side income from streaming the game. If he can just be banned automatically by a bot, allegedly for botting, that becomes a clear threat to his side hustle, to the point it’d be smarter for him to stream and play another game entirely.
