Since the 12th of november i’ve been injustly banned for cheating, i have done many appeal tickets with most information i could sent to the moderators wich get copy pasted reply withing 20 mins~ or never answered.
From my point of view, i have done nothing wrong, i have tried to check what could be considered as a “cheat” looking at people treads and talk yet no clues and AGS wont say anything.
i’ve been thinking on the reason i could get ban my guesses are :
Bought an item that was duplicated ?
There was no trophy, i never bought any. i found myself an armorer glove for 100 gold and i jumped on it, to me it was probably someone who wrongly put the glove in market without changing the price, poor him.
I rarely interact with people but the day before my ban i traded some gems and precious metals to a guild member for some sandpapers, so maybe he was someone who previously cheat and i get a ban for trading with him ?
Next i heard rumors of during a craft like refining ressources, an error can occur and causing duplications of items. I have encountered this error probably around 6 ish time withouth noticing anything but anyone should has this error happend at least once so i doubt i can be this.
Other than that, i’ve nothing as duplicating anything like items, gold, abusing any kind of respawning glitch, which should be considered as exploit and not cheat so i guess nothing here.
which lead me for the most probable reason i could think of : Macro usage.
So before you say macros are banned know that before using them i’ve been checking if macros are tolered or not.
From moderation themselves as long you don’t use them to get an unfair advantage it should be ok.
From AGS rules :
Do not cheat, bot, hack, or use other software or services that give you an unfair advantage through, for example, unattended gameplay or game modifications.

I was using GHub from logitech and for my usage i used 3 macros for one reason gathering ressources without deeply damaging my hands.
Flint : i leveled engineer 200 with only gunpowder because in my server other kind of ressources were heavily farmed so i’ve been doing sessions of 2 hours gathering 5K flints for a total of approximatively 50K flint and one flint at time withouth the possibility of holding a key to gather them is very tiring to say the least. so i used a macro here so i could hold the key to gather.
I wasnt quicker than anybody, the macro would’nt work without me playing the game so i wasnt abusing the fair macro use i believe.
Now for wood and minerals : here we have the 300 constitution/strenght stats maxed and have 25% chance of one hitting the ressource BUT after the first hit it wasnt working so you’d have to cancel the action by going left or right and go again till it works, i used a macro here to preserve my hands but again it would not works without me pressing the button and playing normaly and i’m not doing any faster than someone else.
I’ve found today that a recent patch fixed the issue but not the way i expected.
Apparently only the first hit on the tree would profit on the 25% chance to one hit and not after even if you reset, which mean i could be exploiting a bug here but either forums or the description from the 300 stats itself would say it this way it’s confusing and it was a ban for cheat, not exploiting.i guess since everyone were in the same position would use it without thinking it was poorly writted. " 25% to cut a tree in one hit " instead of " the first hit have 25% to cut down a tree " which is completly different.
Hatchet glitch : I’ve been really doubting on this one could lead for a perma ban but in a way i’ve been using it.
Since streamers like the SolidFPS team were ban for 24h after intentionnaly abusing it and showing on a stream, i’m not sure players could be perma banned from this bug, or if abusing it on pvp maybe ?
Been Dex guy from the beginning i’ve been using the hatchet all the time, for free health regen, 5 sec of death denying it’s probably the best weapon to farm with pre glitch for a musket dex build.
Been on my leveling phase when the glitch came in, i’ve never killed a player with it, nor attending to wars ever.
I’m sure i’ve killed a player with the hatchet while pvp questing with my guild but it wasnt a glitched a kill, i use musket mostly and the bug occuring if you only using the hatchet as far i was informed back then.
During my farm i did have the glitch active sometimes, because i wasnt aware of the way it works it was pretty blurry at this point, some would say it was glitch exploiting but knowing the lack of healing weapons on the dex branch i simply could’nt play without the hatchet, i’ve been removing all my dex points for using it and it wasnt fun either, loosing the option to using other weapons were the most boring time.
Later i’ve learn switching weapons fixed the problem so i’ve been trying to remove it when it’s coming.
Should i’ve been perma banned for this ? feel free to discuss, i don’t think i should have been forced to play GreatAxe Hammer like every player in the game or simply stop playing the game waiting for a fix.
that’s all, no script, no botting, no afk macro killing stuff, no double weapons gattling that ban streamer for only 24h.
Now i could’nt find anything else since i wasnt using any 3rd party tool. These were cheap macro use for accessibility mainly.
I’ve tried to sent all of this via ticket and the same answers copy pasted text again.
i tried to ask live chat tech support what should i do about that but all they told me was either can’t do anything or escalating the ticket to the moderators.
i even got someone who made a ticket for me and send it, he told me to wait for the next 3+days he would send a mail with confirmation of the unban or being refused. 2 weeks later not a single mail.
I called some people from the tech support which told me i will get a call from the moderator, i’m still waiting.
i had never cheated in any kind of multiplayer games before, i had 420 hours in New world almost all gathering lvl 200, armor and engineer 200, barely any items, minor trophies, 15k ish gold, a gs of 550~
I was just enjoying my time farming, sometimes fighting other players for ressources should maybe considerate being reported by an angry player like report abuse ?
And in the first place, why would i cheat in my steam account with decade of existence, i’ve never got a ban from any game before either, why new world would make me want to cheat when i played so many grinding multiplayer games without cheating ?
Now my friends quitted the game and my server is currently at 50 people max, i’m not even sure i’m gonna keep playing the game, i’m just triggered by this, i’ve seen many posts, some has answers, some has unban randomly without any mail, some being unban from moderators in the forums itself, what should i do to expect help and a proper reviews ?
It feel like a fasle detection to me, or some report abuse i simply don’t know.
