Bank system or up gold cap

Only if there were high weekly fees paid for the bank usage that increased the higher the bank balance to help take some of the excessive gold out of the game.

Why all your answers have to be smartass answers, you must have a very boring life

oh, interesting!

storage weight limit? because i thought there wasn’t a cap on company treasury (coin). maybe make a limit for that as well per company member unlockable with company quests by the member.

maybe just get deposited into the company bank.

furthermore, maybe gov/consul can make a wish orders for company members to deposit towards. these wish list items would be able to be directly deposited by any rank until amount is fulfilled.

terrible idea not possible.
500k gold is enough even to much.
companies are destroying the game as it is.

There’s a cap of 5 million on company treasuries, which is one of the reasons so many people form these god-awful shell companies in order to hoard more coin.

I think company members deposit to the bank in order to help meet company goals, and in terms of any theoretical “company quests” designed for company advancement (including quests to allow for more members, perhaps), those items or accomplishments should be quest-like in nature.

The model that comes to mind for these was, for me, based on the World of Warcraft guild advancement quests, but would obviously have to be altered to match the way New World should work.

LOL. I didn’t event know that there is some kind of gold cap and I spent ~300hrs in this game. I never had more than 30-35k at me xD Looks like I’m too casual for this game and I’m not focused enough on making money as from my perspective there are a lot of crazy expensive equipment in TP.

I did not understand anything about the game.

yes find the roleplayer who wants to make banking guild toon.

beyond that no gold cap should stay. the fact that ppl are capping gold and making banking toons to circumvent should be punished in fact.

the cap exists for a reason, once you cap you buy gear period.

like real wealthy people you don’t deal in liquid currency you deal in asset swaps.

stop moaning and play within the system; you already got shared banks and global market.

the game doesn’t need to incentivize anymore hoarding behavior

I’ll be honest, increasing gold cap increases maximum price for items that are considered BIS and overall will add inflation to the economy.

To bypass the BIS cap you purchase items that retain value, such as asmodeum. You also can just sit on items like smelter items, trophies, etc, to retain some of the value over long terms (if you receive those items) and just sell when you need to re-up you gold

I have a suggestion. The company gold cap should be proportional to the amount of people that a company has. So that people like you can’t circumvent the personal limit cap. Everything over the limit burns away. How does that sound?

You already proved the point, people stopped storing wealth in gold and went to asmo or GE. That is why items are already selling for above gold cap.

If they increase gold cap then people wouldn’t be sitting on a massive amount of items… like me :joy:

You guys are missing part of my suggestion, if gold cap is not possible or not a great idea, let us store gold in our storage, my main point is having to keep the gold in a company because i have to make my own company in order to keep my gold, i want to be able to join my friends in their companies and still keep my gold stored

I have yet to hear anyone complaining about too much gold in other games.
if you’ve not needed to spend it then there is too much floating around.
If anything the gold cap should be lowered. The argument folk could spend more than the cap, apart from being ludicrous, is become some clown put it up for that price.
