why not block for 24 hours for a mini-map…
I’m not saying it shouldn’t be 24 hour ban, (I sorta made the implication that it should be by calling a perm ban extreme).
All I’m saying is that Amazon reserves the right to provide any length they deem appropriate for any infraction.
This is why it’s important to not use unauthorized software and to always try to stay within the CoC and ToU.

Depends on the CD rep, as some see it my way. that’s why I don’t like to use the CS’s as a judge because they very often don’t understand what they are saying.
including the fact that they said they would update their stance and warn before banning people for it. That’s why I don’t believe it was for using the minimap, especially with how this is the ONLY thread of someone claiming that the minimap was their ban reason.
because you probably got banned for something else, you should appeal and get the actual reason instead of assuming it was the minimap.

However, I don’t go based on AGS support, and typically use more direct New World specific communication. Pretty sure in that same thread you pulled that image from another AGS image showed an AGS chat rep saying it is not allowed.
I do feel that communication coming from an actual Dev of the game in question is far more legitimate than other information. But I guess that’s just me.

I personally think that the real answer is not to use third party programs no matter what. I would recommend simply petitioning to have a minimap created by AGS implemented promptly.
I look at the github link and it is talking about filtering resources.
The Official statement said can only display position of player. NOT resources.
Seems clear to me.

Everyone in here is assuming he was banned for using the minimap only because OP thinks that. OP could of been duping, exploiting, botting, you name it.

one CS rep did and other CS reps have said the opposite. and as we already discussed in the other thread we both diagreed on Kay’s statement.

permaban for minimap? Give at least a warning first in such cases, its fking minimap guys… Hatchet players that used+300% dmg exploit are still playing with no warning or penalty, and you give permaban for a minimap without any warning?
This guy is alpha-testing your game, and he even paid you and not vice versa…

did you even read the CS response, it only said that he was “cheating” it never ONCE mentioned addons,overlays, or minimaps.

As I said, the OP dictates the topic, straying from the OP’s topic is being offtopic. I did look, I’m just not going to make the assumption based on a generic response.
