I was not banned and my account is still in good standing.
Hearing lots of people saying they got a perma ban without duping but they admit they did buy items off the trading post at lower than usual prices (some knowing there was an active dup, others claiming they bought without knowing there was an active dup going on). Can anyone confirm this? Its terrifying to think an account I have sunk 2k hours into could be banned because I bought something off the TP without knowing it was duped.
Lies, I know ~50 people that bought items off TP and apsolutely nobody got banned for it.
WHoever got banned was actually duping.
Chances are good they were the ones SELLING those cheap items, not the ones buying them, if the trade post had anything to do with it. Which I doubt.
I imagine very few that were banned if anyone was actually banned were innocent. Of course they will moan here or any other open forum claiming they are innocent.
Given their track record of banning bots only for a day or 2 and completely ignoring people that break the tos by purchasing gold on external sites I doubt anyone really got banned anyway.
They didn’t get banned for buying stuff from the Trading Post. They got banned because they duped, they did it more than once, they got caught, and now they have friends on the forum crying for them.
So, no, you don’t have to worry if you didn’t dupe anything…
