Sorry about my English, I was a newcomer to US, not very good at English.
Writing this for my wife account (In Game Name: Flores.Y), I bought another New World Game account so I could post to this forum. As the title says, her account was permanently banned due to making jokes about Coin-Bots (at least we assume so because the ban surfaced a few hours later). The joke was obviously to make fun of the bot. Links and codes have been replaced with completely meaningless ones and certainly do not promote the real thing. Mods refused to lift the ban and repeatedly refused to appeal, but in the appeal was explained that she was not affiliated with botting or any site. There is no way to contact the moderator, so we decided to post it here. It’s been a few months since the ban was initialed, and we have no other choice, so I used this post as a final effort to contact the moderation team and explain the problem. Thank you for your time.
We tried a couple appeal and only got auto responses. The last appeal did not receive a response. Even live chat can’t do anything about it. So go back to what is most likely the reason for this ban. She have learned the lesson and regretted about it. Immediately after sending these messages, she regret that someone immediately replied, “please report this bot.” At this point the bot had been on the server for more than a month, it was annoying to see new bots invading and continuing to spam global chat, and she couldn’t even read other players’ messages with confidence. She (Flores.Y) was tired of seeing the same message over and over again and made a joke even after muting multiple bots. We completely understand that New World staff are doing their best to remove the bot from the server and fully understand that jokes will never happen if you know that the player takes it seriously and reports it. We are really sorry and hopefully moderators can help me with this.
Character name: Flores.Y
Server: US West - Neno Kuni
Banned since January 18th, 2022
Update: It’s actually my wife’s account, but she is shy at first wanted to use me as the main person.
I tried talking to live chat just now, they said that they can’t do anything about it and I has to wait for the answer to the appeal. The problem is, they already denied it and have auto responses.
I don’t have the forum profile for my wife account because we are using the same Amazon account but a different Steam account.
A couple of days later, the last ban appeal still hasn’t gotten a response. As I mentioned earlier, live chat can’t do anything about that either. Are there any other things we can do to explain this situation or if it’s even about these coin bots jokes at all? I would like to know since last previous appeals were denied without any clear reason other than “the original disciplinary action was merited in your case” or auto responses.
I’m glad the mods are taking action against reported bots though. She learned a lesson that the mods reviewing reports who only see little snippets probably don’t understand when something is a joke.
@Kay Sorry to tag but I think you helped someone else who thought it was funny to pretend to be a bot (who then got reported by the entire server). If you have a moment, your love is needed here.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help so far! We still hope we can figure out the solution soon.
As someone who had very similar problem, I can recommend to keep sending ban appeals, probably it’s better to change appeal’s title to something describing the problem. Also mention few times in appeal that you’re not a coin seller/bot, and give as much proof as possible to that. All appeals sent by my bf got very similar answer until he changed the title of a ban appeal to something like “I got banned for a joke about coin sellers” and pointed out how every single sentence in his joke was fake and obviously not an ad, rather it was to insult the coin sellers.
Apologies for my late reply, I was off work during yours.
As you said I am afraid live support wouldn’t be able to directly review your case, nor us mods in the forum, as appeals can only be reviewed by the appeals team.
As @Falcinnie mentions, the best way to go would be to follow the process, keep appealing your case and make sure the situation is as detailed as possible in your ticket so the agent reviewing your case can understand the situation.
Hope I was able to clarify the situation and good luck!
Still waiting and keep appealing. It’s been a couple day I have waited. Haven’t got any response yet. Tried to have the appeal making sure the situation is as detailed as possible.
If anyone from the forum staff would like to investigate - please, this is our last hope.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help so far!
Have you gotten any confirmation on your email that appeals were received by AGS? I might be wrong, but I’ve noticed that if there’s no confirmation like this, the tickets and appeals are just stuck somewhere in void between user and support. This happened to my bf once with english support. Also none of the tickets that I sent through polish website got any confirmation or answer either - it’s been few weeks, so I am 99% sure they’re just lost (anyway the issue is already solved). Again I might be wrong, but based on what I just said, maybe it has something to do with language or country you’re appealing in?
Yes, I have gotten the “We’ve Received Your Appeal” confirmation email but didn’t get any respone afterwards. I am appealing in the US specifically US West. I wonder on the Server Name, should I put “US West - Neno Kuni” or just put “Neno Kuni”?
I sent all my appeal over here, is that the right place?
Confirmation Email quote:
Hello,
We’ve received your penalty appeal, thank you for your submission. Our team of moderators will review your appeal and respond back via email with a decision.
Thanks for playing Amazon Games.
Sincerely,
Customer Service Amazongames.com
Seems like everything is fine then. It’s also the right website. Not sure how is it with the server name but just “Neno Kuni” should be fine. Lack of any answer is weird in that case…
Yea, they look normal but just missing the last answer.
When you said “none of the tickets that I sent through polish website got any confirmation”, which website did you send afterward getting your bf unban? Is it some other country? Can I have that website? Thank you so much for your help!
For ban appeals we used the official english AGS website - exactly the one that you linked few posts earlier (my bf is from US, so that was the best option for him). It sometimes takes a bit for them to respond but it’s best to wait 2-3 days before sending another ticket if they don’t respond or lost it. We usually waited around a week with resending appeals, so it doesn’t seem too much like spam.
