Synonyms

this is not a public forum. this is what we call a private forum. No different than tweeter or facebook. Private forums don’t allow you to say whatever you want. Thats why they are private. Ask donald trump how his free speech lawsuit went against twitter…

I wouldn’t bother, when 44 out of 139 posts in 1 thread are from 1 single person that is not even the OP I’d consider that harassment.

its not his thread. it is the property of Amazon. Everything written here is their property.

The problem, freddy, is that people who dont get the response they want just keep fighting with mods and devs rather than accepting that…ags can do whatever the hell they want and you agreed to contract that says so.

why are you confusing “Fighting” with; Discussing bad moderation? this is a civil, open discussion. No one wants to fight.

First of don’t call me freddy, we’re not that close.

Second, he’s looking for clarification from a support guy. The website pretty much sends you to the forum for questions like these, this is the Game support section and it’s a valid place to ask this when you’ve already waited 4, no make that 5 days now? Your assumption that his name is banned, sorry, prohibited is just that… an assumption.

Leave the guy alone in trying to get some support…

No fredrico, its been said By support that his name was changed, and he has to accept it. He got the only answer from mods that he will get.

Raftel was 100% accurate, fishing for a response that benefits him is…well just not gonna amount to anything. The Highest of kings had his cherry put out.

So are you stating that you work for AGS & can confirm that they will no longer be looking into this? are you confirming you are speaking on behalf of Amazon?

Thats a nice turn of words. Scroll up. read what he said. I am confirming what AGS told you.

you forgot to finish reading your own post.

You can contact live support and speak to them. but the forums arent going to rally against amazon mods/devs/staff.

you’re absolutely right, no one is trying to organize any rally against amazon. They are simply discussing in game issues.

and they have all been told the same thing. Appeal the ban. Why? Because the people who can overturn bans…dont go on the forums.

yes they have all been told the same thing, open a secondary appeal (which is against the rules) odd to me why you don’t see the problem with this. Keep the mindset that there should be no discussions for the course of actions which could be taken against you, you’re real bright.

I mean, why have speed limit signs? why not just guess what’s going to land you a ticket. Also do not discuss the speed limit.

you appealed…you lost…rename and move along.

No action was taken against you. it was taken against their property.

A bump is not necessary but a bump was promised. So here’s a bump! Bumperino!

This conversation has really gotten in the weeds here, and the post from the community mod did not shed any light on the reason, which is what the entire post was about. It’s a canned response pointing to naming policy for which there could be any number of reasons.

Meanwhile on my server, we have names such as HeavyMethUser, Earl Von Cu****** (I won’t type it here, but it rhymes with rummy).

I even have a friend who was unable to use the name from the start, MrGlass, because the name field said the name was forbidden. Not taken, forbidden. This friend has a rare bone disorder and took this name to mirror a character in a story as his own personal joke, but there’s nothing offensive or improper about the name. If Amazon was going to make a blacklist of words to avoid using I have seen quite a few that should have been at the very top of the list. Truly vile things.

Some people here sure pick strange hills to die on. There is an awful lot of conjecture based on the idea that the OP’s name was forbidden for lore reasons, but that’s an educated guess at best. There’s no reason in a case like this a player cannot be told why. If it’s a question about naming conventions then a developer response of “it goes against policy” isn’t exactly a way for players to discuss naming conventions.
