I noticed that somehow the letter V is banned. Like in my ingame name Flevine, non of my company members can type my username, same for ‘pvp’, ‘devs’ etc. But somehow you can type other words like have, invite, pee vee pee. So yeah they did something to ban certain phrases, but in a way that made normal talking pretty impossible some times

It is very strange. We were going through some phrases and words that couldnt possibly be offensive like the words wizard sleeve in a plain sentence and couldnt get it to work. But if we changed the sentence around then it would work O.o
So odd.
Just further driving this game into the ground. Never seen a game die this fast, and I played Evolve.

DAFUQ that explains why i deperatly try to communicate on a russian server and helf my chat msg just wont get sent even in DM´s - and it wasnt anything bad i think i duelles someone and we were talking about aim and used skills and some Msg just wont sent without any notification, thats MAX stupid

Why does this surprise you guys? It’s the AGS pattern — take a shotgun to each issue that plagues them - punish everyone because they can’t surgically fix the issue – almost like we live in the gulag!!! Wait … is “gulag” a banned word? We’ll find out!

Even the letter V is being censored. A LETTER.
These censored words are NOT OFFENSIVE. Fix your sodding chat filters. We can’t even type REGULAR SENTENCES without the filter just erasing it. It’s pathetic. You have an option to turn a censor on or off. If you have it off, you should be able to see or say anything at all. If someone goes too far, report them. But forced censorship for every day words, and even your own sodding city name (Everfall, for reference, chat censors that too)?! Pathetic.

You can’t say “Taiwan” but one of the most popular US West servers is currently being dominated by a fully Taiwan company (150+ members). I guess they can’t talk about where they are located or their primary language.

Again missing the point… it isn’t about people getting offended… it’s about people advertising gold sites and others crashing people out of the game as well as people purposefuly insulting others… I personally don’t get offended… but seeing people arguing over nothing… is annoying. Yes I can just block them… but then so can amazon and this filter is a step in the right direction. It just needs a little bit of work
Wrong - we aren’t missing the point. I believe you might have ENTIRELY missed the point. People have an option to turn on and off a filter. Why would you feel it’s ok to have a blanket filter when a personal filter option is made available?
Slippery slope as you will ban basic conversation between people. “insults” are subjective.
I can call a company mate an idiot if I want when we’re joking around. No one has a right to decide what I can and cannot say.
People have to take personal responsibility again. Use the block button and all of this goes away.
AGS just has to tell everyone “use the block button if you don’t like it.” and move on. Problem solved.
Bots and spamming are a different beast and limiting everyones ability to speak isn’t the correct approach. it’s completely off base as usual.
Or in the game as well lol.
I remember typing in “Bugger” and was shocked to see it censored. Like really bugger? Like dang almost as bad as passive being censored in an app game I play because it has the word ass in it.

This is a slight overkill.
This has to be a bug, my theory to this is they gave us
Reduced attribute respec coin cost by 60%.
Reduced weapon mastery respec Azoth cost by 75%.
So they had to break something else since we got such a good fix.

I had random things just not show in chat. I wasn’t using curse words, slang, racial epithets, etc. Just basic English talking about things in Company chat. It would just filter the whole sentence, meanwhile botter gold sellers seem to bypass filters with ease. I hope this patch fixes some of this garbage.
So apparently there are some “bugs” that were introduced in chat yet still no official statement on the fact words and phrases have been outright banned from chat they only mentioned the letter v
