still alive and well baby, and id do it again
A 12-24 month ban also sends a clear message to players, but has the added bonus of allowing players to return.
As for “players forgetting” about coming back , that’s totally fine. If they don’t care enough to return then they don’t have to. But right now, all the players who are wrongfully banned and who are regretful of their actions have to go play something else. No way back
I’m not saying “never” permanently my ban players ! I’m just saying let’s dial it down a bit
Uhhh if they abused a game breaking bug they should be perma. It’s the same as someone aimbotting in an fps. AGS clearly stated nobody who casually came upon the bugs and crafted an item or two got banned. Just got items removed. Same for people who bought them. Now if you’d like a way to get back in. Then maybe Amazon can full wipe your account of items/gold and let you start over.
i have to agree the amount of ppl that told me they got cought up in the banwave just to be unbanned after annoying the support 24/7 after the 600gs crafting exploit is the insane, ppl should be punished for breaking the terms of conduct yes but there should be a indepth review of said person bevore he gets banned. prematurely banning thousands of players is not the way AGS and im still pretty sure they have a automatic system that banns ppl and not actual humans doing it they might say something else but i dont believe it.
Nobody is stopping them from buying another copy. Much like nobody is stopping current players from having multiple actice accounts to bypass the upcoming war roster changes.
I’d be totally happy with a full wipe and start over if it means I can play the game again
great idea ![]()
P.s. just a reminder, my original post called for ags to establish clear definitions, so that when ppl use terms like “game breaking bugs” we can all understand exactly what that is ![]()
It would be so good to see them produce a table detailing the category’s of bannable offences along with the severity of punishments ![]()
I don’t care if I never get my account back, but give other players a chance to avoid my mistakes!
And you should be able to return to society given your past actions have been corrected and you’ve learned your lesson.
Removing someone from the game permanently for one offense is ridiculous.
I hope it doesn’t take you being permanently banned for something you thought was right for you to realize how primitive this thinking is. As we have seen before, innocent players have been caught in the crossfire during these types of bans. Not everything is black and white.
That doesn’t mean you can’t be accused of cheating for something that isn’t cheating.
Again, you have a very primitive mindset about this issue.
Just primitive enough to sleep fine at night. ![]()
Won’t be saying that if you get banned. You’re just trolling at this point.
If you need a table outlining severity of punishment and that is how you judge what is right or wrong then your the type of person the game is better off without.
The use of you above is not directed at any specific individual.
I think you have misunderstood me sorry, I don’t thing “needing” a table is the right way to phrase this.
Having a table that clarifies offences, punishment and severity is helpful for the health of the community because it:
-communicates information to the community, thus clarifying confusion that players have around different definitions such as the term “game breaking”
-helps ags to be consistent about punishments , because they have a clear standard that they adhere to. Consistency is important in discouraging cheating so people don’t think they can get away with it.
-helps players to understand that their actions have consequences because the consequences are clearly written, and the offences well articulated. Understanding is important so that players are properly incentivised to behave.
If this table stops just 10 people from cheating each month , wouldn’t it be worth it? That’s 10 more people every month who will have a fun time in game, contribute to economy, join teams in dungeons, and chest runs, make jokes in global , etc
I can’t see how anyone wouldn’t want an informative table with good information on it
you may find you need it one day !
I never cheat = never been banned.
you cheat you get banned
Permanent = good.
Sounds like banned offenders getting salty and trying to start up drama. Tough luck
Hello Aeternum Dwellers,
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and feelings on the matter but as explained by @Luxendra, we do not handle bans or ban appeals in the forums. If you are looking to appeal a ban, you can do so in the Appeal a Penalty - Support | Amazon Games, if you have not already done so but given you mention you already have, the only advise we have left for you is to continue your communication via the Email you received in response to your appeal. Please bear in mind, if you have been informed about this being the final answer to your appeal, you will not be getting a different one by submitting multiple replies or appeals.
In regards to the reason for the ban, you will be informed of the cause in general but no specific details will be volunteered. Please do not submit multiple tickets as that will only delay a review of your penalty.
If you are looking to provide feedback or ideas on how to possibly improve on the ban or ban appeal process, you can do so in the Feedback section of the forums or you can also submit your valuable feedback by filing a web ticket here.
Given the support forums have no further input on this subject, I will be closing this thread.
Hope this clarifies your best course of action. ![]()
