Battle’s Embrace, Shrouded Intent and Protective Wyrd

Please also give us the respective armor skins as a reward for completing the quest as the gear is pretty much useless as soon as you get it but that Shrouded Intent armor looks AMAZING.

Imagine going to outfiting station after long time and seeing gear, better than yours now, that you cant craft… Just imagine… In first place you should have made those gear pieces as azoth staff (which u can’t salvage, nor drop). Second when I crafted I saw that that item was a some kind of quest item, but after like 30min wait or next quest part, it dissappears as a quest item. So what you do? You ofcourse salvage it. Well now you got another bug to fix. Congrats. And I hope it will get fixed.

yep, mistakes were made, and I made 3, what a duche I’am, if only right, make this happen,

Same in Valiser charname (bengodi) i destroyed the boots for no use in level terms and later i know about that improvement, no way, i play in this games making all the quest posible, that means leaving something without end and for me its needed to give an alternative: Craft of the diferent parts or lets restart the trigger of the quest, for Who want to complete all the content that its vital, i hope to ser It on Next updates.

Same problem as many other replies, accidently salvaged the set.

Yeah…would be great to be able to redo the questline as other dungeon quests due to the nature of the gear needed or at least make the items unsalvagable. I didn’t know it until I looked up this thread to find out how many quests are in the set and now I regret salvaging the previous items. I now only have the pants and working on the next set of items.

I’m in the same boat. I accidentally salvaged two pieces of the set while cleaning up my drops and now I’m stuck with the unfinished quest line :frowning:

So after having problems with Shrouded Intent I got extremely upset about my items disappearing. I decided to do the quests for Battle’s Embrace and Protective Wyrd, and stored ALL EQUIPMENT I crafted in a storage by themselves and locked them from being salvaged after creation. After completing both quests, two items from both sets disappeared as if I never crafted them.

Hi Luxendra,

Is there any update on this ticket? Is it still open on the dev’s priority list somewhere?

Hello everyone I got a reply from support,

“Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to recover salvage items that are request in future quest, the Developers has it as a known issue and is working right now to correct it, there isn’t an exact ETA for this patch but it will be added in New World shortly. Right now the solution is to find a friend that has that available quest and join them to do it.”

I salvaged my boots not thinking but I saved the rest… We need this fixed so we can get our items back. it should tell you when you go to salvage it that the items are upgradable in a later quest or something.

  • What is your character name in New World: Bloodhunter
  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Harmonia
  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: The quest items (armor pieces) from Battle’s Embrace, Shrouded Intent and Protective Wyrd are not protected against salvaging (like many other items are) and do not count as quest items either. As they are quite low gear score, I deconstructed / salvaged parts of those items already before realizing that those items will be required to complete a later stage of the quest in order to upgrade them to legendary versions and complete the quest.
  • Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: The associated quests cannot be completed anymore and it’s impossible to obtain or craft these legendary items
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No
  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Deconstruct said armor pieces and try to complete the quest

Please consider making the base items of these three sets craftable in order to “recover” them if accidentally salvaged and ideally add a protection against salvaging on these crucial items.

I think right now I will never be able to complete the associated quests and I will be lacking out on the legendary armor…

just making sure the devs dont forget about this topic.

There needs to be some way for this to be solved. I suggest two things:

  1. for the future, the Items are marked in a way so they can’t be destroyed by accident, either putting them in the quest category or adding an extra check if you really want to salvage them.
  2. there needs to be a way to craft them again if they are destroyed by accident. Simple way would be to allow the quest to be taken again if the item is not in your inventory/Storage.

thanks

Agree, the second one its not invasive and respectful, cost more time but give the chance to not get stuck the quest and the gear, atleast hope for they think about it.

as a variante to the 2nd point:
once the quest for one item is completed, the item becomes craftable with regular materials as a bind on pick up item, so it cant be sold.

Fix it bro.

I have had the exact same issue, and I am hoping for a fix.

Wife and I just found this as well…we haven’t fully completed the quests when we were clearing out bags. Thought nothing about it until realized we’d both salvaged pieces as they were not marked with the quest icon or even in the quest item area. And from looking to see if there was a way to remake them came across this. It is a vast oversight to be able to just destroy something needed further in the quest chain. I hope there is a resolution able to come about.

Thanks.

I have a similar issue. Salvaged the shrouded intent boots before I was made aware that there isn’t a way to craft a new set. Sure, I get that the item description says “not fully upgraded” or whatever but what is preventing us to going out and farming the same mats to make a new pair?

Same here, i’m unable to complete the epic craft.
