I salvaged all 4 of the items as soon as I had them in my inventory and sat there stunned when the finisher quest gave me items to upgrade all 4 items. Why where these items not protected? What am I supposed to do with the resources to upgrade them? Please fix.
I did the same but once you’ve got over the initial wow this is bullshit phase, you realise the gear is just trash anyway even when it’s upgraded you can get better easily either from the faction vendor or just start farming level 60 areas or buy gear from the trading post, yeah it’s bad game design but it’s no big deal long term
I lost one of the items in storage and I didn’t even salvage the damn thing - gone due to some bug on the latest patch and can’t reclaim it: Battle’s Embrace Breastplate

When i started game in first weak get the quest, finish it and salvage the salvageable items - i didnt know i need to search all the internet after i finish it… there wasnt further information about items so myb, just maybe u need to put them on quest item section or because im not only 1 who have this problem… change it like azoth stuff so we cant salvege them.

so i have 12 unfinished items in forge and outfiting and 12 nothing worth 12 legendary resources…
I stopped playing, until they address this issue. I had to buy a new shield because of the shield nerf. They seriously need to address the player bases needs and stop with the unnecessary patches. My server’s economy is wrecked, because of the duping issues and the end game has very little content once you hit 60 and complete the quests. Not being able to finish these quests is driving me away. My faction controls the entire server.
The same problem, having contacted the support service, they wrote that they could not return the items that you threw away and that they knew the problem, perhaps they would fix it in future updates. Maybe it will help someone…
Well there are dozens of ways to find a solution even if they cannot return those items back, “we may or may not fix it” does not sound like the “Earth’s most customer-centric company”.
I am adding my name to the list. I guess at some point I got rid of the chest, feet & arms and am now stuck at needing to reset to get them.
Happened same… well simular.
I had storage issue so I tried to salvage the item and I couldnt and I thought its some bug and I wouldnt miss few gold and repair parts so I dropped the items. Like 1 week later I visited the outfiting station and I saw… like what? why would they design something like that? If its quest item damn mark it like that and make it so you cant drop it.
Now I been looking for solution if somehow can get items I dropped back… no luck so far.
I hope they do something about it!

Problem: Still missing “Battle’s Embrace Greaves, Battle’s Embrace Boots, Battle’s Embrace Breastplate, Protective Wyrd Shirt, Protective Wyrd Shoes, Protective Wyrd Gloves and Protective Wyrd Pants” after a misshap of salvaging them in the start when i got em and they wernt Locked for salvage and wernt showed up as quest items… Plz help me so i can finish these quests.

This was responded to by @Luxendra in Oct 21. It is now nearly 4 months since that response. I still have the quest blocks. I am unable to continue. I am unable to reset! I cannot go forward. Please update us on this bug!
Alott of people has problem with this. Its a real drag getting a halfbaked answer or no answer at all when we try beeing nice and submitting bugs. 
Oh shoot, wish I saw this sooner…
This really needs to be resolved. The small player base that still plays would like to be able to actually play the little bit remaining in this game.
