Hi
I saw in the game Deep Rock Galactic that when pressing the letter V, the character lets out a battlecry and I thought it was really cool. People do the battlecry when entering the mission, when they kill the boss, when someone resurrects, when they finish the stage, that is, the whole time someone is sounding a battlecry to celebrate something. And that encourages us to go ahead and come together to do something.
I think a battlecry would look really cool in New World, or rather some battlecry.
Imagine people fighting wars and players make a battlecry when they are advancing? Or when they win a point, does everyone do a celebratory Battlecry? Or when they finish a boss? Or make a Battlecry just because they are on the map?
I even think they could have different Battlecries per faction.
Well, here’s a suggestion that I find very interesting and encourages me to start the fights and when it ends too.
Sounds cool. Would add some randomness to the singular run animation the game has. (Because the player base is all “human” and the devs did not create a separate run animation for the female avatar, everyone runs the same…contrary to other games where races and genders run differently.)
I like it. And maybe some ‘taunting’ animation to the weapon, to play when you use battlecry. Like twirling the rapier or cocking the blunderbuss. Could lead to a lot of funny interactions between players.
Yes, I’ve participated in wars and the call is quite important and sometimes noisy.
For that, NW could put dedicated volume for Battlecry and that would be solved.
In your example, as everyone is on call, I imagine they are a guild, they could simply organize themselves to not do the Battlecry , if they don’t want to.
Honestly, when you win a point in a war, everyone giving a BattleCry would be very motivating.
