The not being searchable part is bugging me as well. I first need to search for it manually.
I do so by having one beeswax and "try"to sell it, so I can see at what price these are. Then I need to manually go through the catalog until I get to that price to buy them.
I guess it is not assigned to any category as well

It seems to be all honey trees drop anymore, so I don’t see this as anything rare.

What do you mean exactly? I farmed multiple honey trees today in the morning and quite a handful of honey and beeswax
Yeah i got beeswax on the into the void launch day. Got it from the large honey trees. This is old news
2 days ago I was harvesting every honey tree near hermit’s shrine. 100% beeswax. I have a few hundred beeswax and no honey.
It’s random, I’ve been doing nothing but honey trees and the drops are 50/50 the only lame part is the amount of beeswax is like 2-4 compared to the 34-35 of honey.
Maybe my issue is zone. I ket all my honey trees near hermits. I’m not finding any actual honey since the patch, which stinks because it was an easy resource for my cooking.
i got beeswaxs ages ago i couldnmt put it on the AH till now though, hit 4 honey tree and only got beeswax
Same here every honey tree I knocked, dropped only beeswax.
I wish there was a way to specifically get beeswax instead of honey (or at least increase the yield from honey trees to compensate from 3-4 to 10-20 beeswax per tree.
They should also think about allowing us to make apiaries / bee hives on our house like the one near the trading post (by using our pet slots). Each tier of house already has a maximum pet limit why not implement this by allowing us to have gatherable “pets” like milkable cows, turkeys that lay eggs, apiaries, etc.
Same here. The past couple of nights, while hunting bears, most honey trees I harvest from are providing only beeswax. I don’t even know what it’s used for, lol. I’m a cook!

Wouldn’t be as bad if they didn’t also nerf the honey you can get in towns from like 20-30 to 6-8

I want the opposite, since I want the beeswax for furnishing lol. Besides you can still get guaranteed honey from the small bee hives near trading posts (and the fact that the honey in circulation is too much, as they said).
Just chiming in to say that while the honey/beeswax return is based on RNG, the Honey trees in Windsward, First Light, and in middle map areas (forget which zones in particular) drop both honey and beeswax. I have been in the First Light area harvesting stuff for leveling a couple of crafting professions. (The need for T1 mats for this is CRAZY, sigh.) In one day I got over 500 honey and like 250 beeswax.
For those of you mostly getting 1 or the other, try another day.
And, for those that need honey, do not forget those 1 hour honey things you can collect in towns.

Best/Quickest way to find it on the TH is to search for “powder horn” and then click on the beeswax component.
But yes, if you search for “Beeswax” or Bee you get nada.
