The first thing to happen when the markets link is all materials will be set to 0.01 as there will be a huge saturation. Items like healing pots and gunpowder will be so worthless people will drop it.
If the market is linked there will need to be more quests and items that use older tiers. Like Orc bullets using gunpowder. Or T2 health pots use T1.
This game wasn’t designed around a universal market. Make sure your ready for it to become one.
agreed I have grave concerns about the bottoming out of prices when they link the markets… competition is fierce already but it will kill trade if they link it I believe as it will be just too easy for everyone to undercut… Yes well said your statement
you guys are beyond stupid if you think that this will cause this to happen. its not hard to search all traders already and go buy the cheapest items. this will happen and you can go cry some where else about your price gouging
I am not sure this is going to have as big an impact as you think.
Trade seems to aggregate around 2 hubs (Everfall, Windsward). It takes an extra second to search the other TP from the same location to see if it is worth porting over instead.
For rarer goods, I filter the perks and there’s probably only a few pages across all boards it doesn’t matter to me. Most of the trade is still aggregated around the 2 hubs, probably because sellers don’t want to risk high posting fees with potentially lower attention/exposure.
This update will probably save me the clicks of having to open the filter for other towns, and then making the run between EF/WW. It also means when I am questing or doing something in another map, I don’t have to hold onto my vials until I am in the main hub to vend them.
Yep and porting over was costly depending on your faction alliance up to 400 plus azoth last night… My point is that supply and demand begins to have little impact when u can literally camp at one spot and buy everything at your leisure… prices will drop because there is no variance anymore in where to get goods.
The trade system will suffer and will benefit only people who are casual players, as prices will not hold and there will be no opportunity to ask more for a resource if u spent the azoth to bring it there. Trade will be simplified and more boring and prices WILL DROP!!!
wont do a damn thing…most servers has a “central” hub that most post on. do i even bother looking elsewhere than everfall…nope as every other hub is more expensive now it wont matter.
now if the map was 10x the size. and you couldnt see all the markets and no fast travel then most def dont link them, then that would be able to do what they tried to do here too small to bother
