RMTers will disagree ofc, but if this change goes live, it will be one of the best things they ever made. Getting close to BIS items is basicaly impossible in this game unless you RMT your way to victory or if you craft a lot. It has been an issue overlooked for a while now and im glad AGS finaly took their balls and dropped the bomb.
Dont listen to RMTers crying about their gear being “obsolete”. They unironicaly “paid to win”, they dont want fair competition but unfair domination and they shouldnt be listened
Nah later after patch u only can upgrade from gypsums which is has limit 1 per day each and from invasions where only 50 spots per INV and most of them would filled by comp rosters so it’s not really significant I must say
Plus gears from gypsums are trashes…like only 1 per 20 I guess worth upgrading later
Right now they said u already can upgrade gears from breaches but still I don’t see many people doing them
Updated the topic’s title.
Yeah i know that. And thats why i think its a good step. RNG is still present, but at least now if you get a good 2 perk’ers, you can try your luck having a good 3 perk’ers.
Yeah its good especially with war and invasion crates. I opened hundreds of those and all I got is 1 usable item. Which was a named and therefore upgradeable. (Diarmuds).
I really welcome that change.
Why should scarab crafts be excluded? It costs at least 6k in materials for one roll, more if you’re after perks in high demand. If I’m attempting to craft Ward/Weapon Skill Perk/Refreshing, the most common of those perks is Refreshing at 4.89%. Even rounding that up to 5%, I’m looking at 20 legendaries before one upgrades to the desired perks. That’s 120k for one piece of PVE gear if 590+ gained a perk on upgrade. Currently, it’s 20x6 (lolololol, no, it’s not actually 1 in 6 legendary), which is 120x6k = 720k, which is utterly ridiculous.
I understand that rolling Resilient is less rare and the 14.68% chance would result in around 1 in 7 scarab crafts being upgraded to exactly what people want. Is reducing the gear barrier to PVP down to around 42k per piece really such a bad thing? Especially if we want to continue weapon balancing and shaking up the meta.
I’ve been rolling Ward/Skill sets for company members recently and the amount of legendaries is dismal. It’s becoming a bit of a joke really.
It is frustrating to have knowledge but be unable to apply it to gameplay due to restrictive RNG and the unavailability of items on the market. (I check for my perk combos daily).
