How is this a PvP hate post? If you had read thru all the posts I’ve made here you’d find I actually support PvP in this game. I just don’t enjoy it myself.
And emoticons on the internet can actually help to tell if a person is joking or not. Plus they ARE cute!
Sure, I agree. Maybe I was a little too fast to only mention OPR. But you will also need the Garnet gypsum which is only obtainable thru 3v3.
How is this any different than OPR, or any other multiplayer game? Sure the enemies are easier and predictable. But in any other game you do the same thing over and over again. If you enjoy the repetitiveness then the game is fun for you.
Oh, I didn’t know I had to do the PvP to be good at this game! Thanks for reminding me, I will definitely join up so I can live up to your standards!
It’s not like you HAVE to have the Brutal form… there are 2 other options for every heartrune. Really don’t see an issue here. Just a lot of babies crying over something that finally respects PvP players efforts.
Are you also crying because there are emotes locked behind the PvP progression tree?
Nobody is forced to get the Brutal Heartrunes, jeez. Grow a brain. Take a look at the brutal forms… do they even suit your playstyle if you don’t pvp? Pretty sure they don’t. Just get Cunning or Stalwart form and call it a day.
So just do the pvp content then? This is s pvX game. You won’t be getting your completionist achievement without pvp. That isn’t the game u are playing
mindlessly left clicking and dodging predetermined attacks on a bot is fun? literally every pve experience minus open world is identical, you go into a laz and know (for the most part) what will happen, you know where the mobs are, you know what they are, you know whats hard and whats not, but pvp isnt the same. Each encounter is different because every person is different. That alone is more interesting than most of what the pve content in this game has to offer.
it really doesnt. theres a reason pve players in OPR are literally free, unoptimized builds, very little mechanical skill, the activity of gathering mats can literally be done on autopilot, the most thinking you need to do for PVE in OPR is how many mats each thing in the outpost takes.
so like how shards used to be basically only obtainable through pve? or like how the only way to get named pieces is mainly pve still? or like how the only way to lvl up expertise up until not too long ago was running dungeons on repeat? or back when HWM system was a thing it was EXCLUSIVELY pve? Ooo OO, or how about the holiday event emotes and cosmetics like the winter convergence stuff and much more recently the summer medley faire stuff being through pve only or gathering only?
Your point is flawed and the fact that most content is locked behind pve but as soon as 1 minor thing that is mainly going to benefit PVP PLAYERS is locked behind a PVP wall, immediately its an issue, I sense some double standards here. Why should pvpers be forced to pve, but pve players shouldnt be forced to pvp? especially when the grind in said forced pvp is MUCH MUCH less time consuming and can take a lot less effort than the forced pve grind that everyone is forced to do.
in an ideal world, neither would be forced to do either, but its not an ideal world, this game has been forcing playstyles we may not enjoy since launch, at least now both sides have to do something they hate doing XD
Always that intellectually dishonest argument…
PvP involves people, people are overly competitive and toxic, nobody should be forced to that.
PvE hurts nobody, it can bore you a bit at most.
I’m sure a PVP player can tell you exactly how much you have to do and no you’re not forced, but if you want an item locked behind PVP then yes you have to PVP.
Don’t players literally just PVE in OPR as is? I feel like the greater problem is that’s what this will encourage.
Adding both PVP and PVE options to gypsum isn’t a bad solution, but then we need to ask if gypsum shouldn’t just be reworked overall if that’s the case.
