Almost no one has said that the new world is a good housing system, I agree with that, I hope the housing system of the new world is developed much more.

Needs attention, I agree. Elder Scrolls took a really nice approach to housing. They are making stacks of real-world money through the Crown store.
What I thought might have been a great idea, was homes are rented, and you have the option to buy, but it’s crazy expensive, and achievements are attached to it, like 300 Standing, etc.
You can buy as many homes as you wish in a territory, and rent them out. Collect your weekly money. Landlords need to pay property tax to the territory faction.
Maybe in the future, we can purchase Company Barracks or Company H.Q. to share access with Company members only.
Best housing + guild halls is EverQuest 2. Its so detailed that you can custom build a whole cabin or house each individual piece of wood at a time, tons of trophies and any decoration you can imagine, useful features like crafting stations that auto pull materials from storage chests (eapecially awesome in the guild halls), can setup merchant areas, honestly so much I cant even list it all. It is top notch. I know people who still play to this day and pretty much 90% focus on housing and crafting.
Wildstar had/has (private servers are in the works) the best housing of any mmo I ever played and I have played alot. I’d still be playing Wildstar right now if NC hadn’t canned it.

New Worlds Housing system is just a half assed version of Black Desert Housing… NW you get a 700sqft Apartment… BDO you can have a literal mansion with over 500 various decorations…
Hell Star Wars Galaxies had one of if not the best housing systems in any MMO every and that game is over 20 years old… MMOs today are sad sorry versions of what MMOs were over a decade ago, they just have better graphics, but the core gameplay is honestly so much worse.

It’s OK, but it is missing being able to produce things in your house. why cant i grow some herbs or something at least?
Best housing in modern MMO was Rift’s Dimensions, which allowed players to actually build their own house in the design that they want.

Agreed. I’ve played most major MMOs since about 2000 and hands down Wildstar’s was the best. I miss that game.

Same - I was really surprised the game failed. The hoverboards, housing, combat mechanics, classes…not to mention the entire sci-fi cowboy theme. It was great.
Nah, the decorating was hideous in SWG … the player town system was amazing though. Ultima Online custom house building is my favourite, and that’s even older.
No housing has ever come even remotely close to Rift. I really miss that game, but Archeage stateside release, soured me on Trion games.
Unless you account for guild housing in which case Warframe is pretty nice. Oddly enough it’s similar to rift housing just on a grander scale, it’s the build times that kill the fun.
Rift was so good. I have no idea why i stopped playing it
