BIS gear what road do people want to take?

The to swap attributes with faktiontokens sound good.

Its not to much but it would change random dropps good

Just to echo what the forum is already saying. Fix crafting RNG.
Problem solved

But just the thing with faktion token, this would change enough

Gear should be relatively easy to get but offer a lot of variety in gameplay. Everything else in the game should be super fun to do.

That’s my perfect MMO.

Bis should need very hard grind to fell special wieth sime parts.

If all have the same bis items or nearly same, you can play MoBA

That’s where we disagree. I’m tired of gearing systems being run by business decisions. I’d rather the game be fun than compelling…

Instead, there shouldn’t be BiS. Gear should be more about customizing your character… Both how you look and how you play.

Also! Maybe you’re new to MMOs but whenever you have a system like you described (grinding like hell to get super powerful) do you know what 99% of players do when the finally get that gear? They quit. Because there’s nothing to do with it. And stomping people in PvP (and AI in PvE for that matter) just because your gear is op gets boring fast.

Remember rank 14 players in wow? You get to the top and then, because the game was design to compel you to play instead of being fun, you have nothing to do with that awesome gear.

We need to break this mindset. And it starts with the players.

I’d like to be able to reroll individual perks, and roll a third perk on 590+ gear. Faction armour tokens is one way to do it but what I’d like is to get a new mat from salvaging 590+ items that could be used to perform the roll.

The advantage of this would be that it addresses the issue of crafting salvage at the highest level being utter rubbish, as well as making it a bit easier to get the perks we want.

For what you need that gear? There is no content to use that gear in. And there will be no content for the next 8+ months.

When you craft the perfect gear for pvp, developers bring update that makes your gear worthless and you need to start all over again.

I think there are 2 choices. Either a few BiS pieces should be available from PvP and PvE, and the rest should be crafted. Alternatively, you should be able to get a full BiS set from pve, PvP or crafting. If they went this route, all 3 avenues would have to be equal in terms of time commitment.

Although I like the second choice the most, I think people would gear up too fast, and it would be bad for the game overall.

In the division, the vendors in the game had randomly generated gear that rotated daily and weekly. There would be days everything for sale was trash, but other days that had BiS gear for sale. It was random. It incentivized me to log on and check out the vendors. I feel like they could do that with the PvP gear in new world. There would be a core set of PvP items you could buy with faction tokens or arena tokens. These core items would never rotate. However, there could be another set of items that rotate every day or every week. One of my concerns with arena awards is: 1) that the armor might not even be that good 2) after a few weeks you’ll buy everything you want and faction tokens/arenas currency would be pointless. Having purchasable daily/weekly random gear would resolve those two problems.

And whole buyable gear will be worthless xd Giving any reroll to perks and making chosing more perks will only kill crafters xd.

Gear dropped just has a base item level and a number of slots. Perks and stats are dropped as “gems” or something but can also be crafted. Crafters can modify gear and add perks and stats as requested with certain mats needed for the process.

PvP activities give you PvP related perks/etc… and PvE does PvE. Base armor items can be further upgraded/improved by crafters to add additional aspects. One set of armor can have a PvE, PvP, Crafting, Harvesting, etc… aspect that you can switch to.

Items have a base “weight” but the more defense/AC you add to a piece’s “aspect” the more it weighs the less you have the lighter it gets. Obviously, there will be limits to how much of any one thing you can have.

I want to crafters to be able to add a Perk “Rune” Which can be crafted for 20 asmodeum 20 runic leather and 20 phoenix weave and an specific perk mod, to make weapons or armor which are 600 with 2 perks imbued with an specific perk. So you give crafters the same possibility to upgrade items to legendary as PVE players does upgrading epic named items into legendary with a perfect BiS Perk, but for a high cost for end game players that can afford it.

could also introduce sets that only drop in M10 for each class and each mutation has a set for each class

All options are good. The people desperate to get it will do whatever they need to whatever option they’re presented with.

Narrowing it down will only mean some won’t get it, even if they play the game as much.

yea i kinda feel the same

I think activities should award single use recipes or an item that you use and a few other rare mats laying around like a void ore and make a fiber wood and leather equivalent then you can roll a legendary item with 2 set perks depending on the legendary or some thing

Like a buffed up timeless shard that’s rare

Also increase the amount of azoth we can use on a craft to higher the chances of legendaries.

I’d happily dump 1k azoth for a 100% roll lolll

i think the current ways to get bis are fine. just grind gold and buy them from players that roll gear. ive never received territory gold, made all my gold myself and i have full bis light and medium healer sets( resil+either refreshing or refreshing evasion+weapon perk). i own 6k asmo/runic/phoenix. all i do is play about 1 hour a day, play the market, log off. its really simple to make gold if you actually want to. i dont think they should devalue gold or crafts because some players are too lazy to make gold

Just remove PvE perks from the crafting pool, unless you choose that specific perk.
Currently there’s 92 armor perks:

  • 72 are weapon (skills) perks
  • 20 are the rest, with 11 being PvE related (like beast ward or mining luck) and 9 being PvP related (CDR, resilient, etc)

Remove those 11 PvE related perks from the crafting pool, unless you choose it.
By doing only this, it would mean that every gear you craft with a weapon perk would come with a PvP perk 100% guaranteed, but still its 1/9 that comes with your desired perk
