Blackguard magic weapons nerfed into the ground

So Refreshing Evasion made it to PTR, Blackguard’s Fire Staff, Void Gauntlet and Ice Gauntlet are now just “new” uninteresting versions of old dungeon drops(Taiyings Heart, Firevine Battlestaff and Absolute Terror). Why was these changes needed? Is applying 24% disease to single target every 2 seconds(heavy hit animation) that broken? I don’t think so.
I just wanna hear their explanation on why that change was necessary.
P.S. Blackguard’s Void Gauntlet didn’t even have Plagued Strikes on it.

If it actually gave the correct amount of anti-heal it kind of would be. Consistent ranged antiheal? Come on. Lol

Consistent to 1 target(also you need to hit the shot consistently), when melees can cleave multiple targets and apply disease to ALL of them. That’s why Plagued Strikes on ranged weapon is NOT op.
But that was only half of my post, I’m more pissed at the fact that they’re changing it to useless perk. It could’ve been a number of perks people would be fine with(Refreshing Move, Vicious, Enchanted, any Chain etc).

Yeah they could’ve def given the weapons something better.

Also single target or cleave, it’s ranged. You can literally freecast it if you have a Frontline protecting you.

This is extremely annoying. Who decided to pick this perk? I demand Shirking instead of R.E.

Shirking gives 20% To abilities also, so thats buffs to spike, fireball, etc.

Its a underrated unknown perk thats insanely good.

Procing shirking as mage is super rare tho(VG/IG melee is exception). Might change in 3v3 arenas, but i doubt it’d be better than casual Vicious.
Even bugged Shirking Fortification is not that broken for mages.

I talked about this in other threads, maybe shifting it to “increases fire ability damage” or similar modifications, as an ability version of enchanted (where enchanted is for attacks, shirking is for abilities)

Yea, sounds cool. But i think shirking is good perk, but only for melee players.
Maybe as a completely new perk your idea would be even better.

I think the problem is people dont know how its triggered. As a game designer, iv explained it to a few people and it makes lots of sense to them and they understand. the description is hard to understand if you dont know game design mechanics

Also, I want to hear an explanation as to why the existing Blackguard perks are considered too OP for mages to use but not too strong for melee to use.

Mages are not allowed a single good thing in this game without it being nerfed or melee getting something better.
