Recently we have discovered from a post regarding the “Plague strikes” Perks on the Blackguard bow, Firestaff, Ice Gauntlet, Void Gauntlet and Blunderbuss.
We have been informed that the plague strikes will be changed to refreshing evasion on the Firestaff, Ice Gauntlet and Void Gauntlet. Especially already killing a “BIS” and rewarding drop to something unexciting. People have rushed to the new expedition to get their hands on the new weapons and invest shards to increase from 590-625 GS.
We already had an issue with the absolute terror and was just “informed” that the weapon will be changed to “refreshing” when we should of communicated on a change that the player base can agree with. The perks of the Blackgaud weapons which, players hunted for, feels extremely rewarding and it is now invalidating hard work and not a positive change. Just read the response from the players who have had this changed communicated to, on the recent post of the Blackguard bow.
However, I would still like the proposed changes of the Blackguard weapons to happen… But a further alternative… Let’s looks at mutations very briefly.
Other than the M1-M10 grind to boost your gear score, the “rewards” are still unrewarding…
For the first few days when the mutations launched, it was dropping amazing named items.
It was then nerfed during the chest issues dropping 500 GS gear and ofcourse, the named items were dropping at an increased rate. But mutationed felt rewarding and exciting to do! Now I don’t go into mutations now my PvP set is 625, because there is no reason to return. Other than if I need to upgrade a new BIS amour piece that I managed to buy/craft.
Now back to my main point, how about considering a “Mutated Blackguard Firestaff” for instance. With the following perks:
- Plague strikes, Keen, Keenly Empowered.
Like the existing one we currently have in the game.
This still creates a unique named item that will feel extremely rewarding to get and creating a natural pathway to gear progression.
I hope others will agree that this would be an very positive and welcome change.
Please consider our time invested into this game too, as the proposed changed to the Blackguard Firestaff, ice gauntlet and void gauntlet is a really unwelcome change. But maybe having an alternative “Mutated” version could be a great solution to this perk issue with the weapons!
These weapons are very unique as it isn’t possible to craft such “Named weapons” and I believe they should still exists, but maybe behind Mutations, or consider not making the changes to “refreshing evasion” on the Blackguard weapons and consider another usuful weapon perk like enchanted, viscous or plague crits.
