Today I faced a very uninteresting situation and it’s about blocking the spot with resources. As you can see in the photo below, it is possible to block spawn with e.g. ironwood . Unacceptable .
It was reported multiple times (first time in march xD). The devs are supposedly working on fix. There is a thread in Game Feedback subforum about players placing tents on resource nods.
Cant put a tent up in a landmark god forbid but let me cover up the tier 5 resources that are scarce enough as it is.

I mostly see people doing this as a small way to battle bots and rmt farmers camping those spots 24/7 so no one else can gather there. When nothing is being done about it, better believe folks will figure out any way they can to stick it to those ruining their legit game play.

Making resources uncontested would fix a great many issues they are having. Although you could technically still do this, what would be the point other than to Troll.
Not sure what they think they are preserving by keeping contention, other than the lack of resources is basically the end game at the moment, that and silly rare trophy mats. 
It s a new way to slow down the economy and ressources rarity

If peeps could come away from treating the game like it’s a crack addiction and stop buying t5 mats from the TP it would deter bots from farming stuff they cant sell, if you are a legit seller use the shout selling for awhile to sell your mats, ya this would suck for a bit, but anyone buying those mats is complicit in the problem from the get go. being that most bots and farmers dont even speak english it would not be too hard to spot them trying to sell what no one is buying from the TP by shouting in trade and you just mute/block them and eventually they will phase out. until something like this happens there is no true way to battle them without placating to AGS to do something which at this point would be a miracle to most. this is a sad fact of the game right now and not enough are willing to band together to stop it. remember its not really crack and there will be no withdrawal i can assure you

Have you tried going to another spot to cut down trees? 
… this kind of actions should be bannable as game hindrance …
Ironwood is so rare… You sometimes run into 10-20 people farming at the same location and you basically have to pull mobs onto people if you want to gather even a single tree.
These camps blocking even one tree is such a big deal on ironwood…
As someone suggested, you can just cut down normal trees for greenwood and sell it and then buy Ironwood from the market

I see people doing it with live people running around. when they cant get it cause there’s to many people trying to get the same resource up go the tents and its if i cant have it then you cant have it. I’ve had it happen to me multiple times with wirefiber and silkweed.
Placing camps on resource nodes is happening on El Dorado also. ags should put a name tag of the person who placed the tent to identify the culprit and take action, but they wont.
It happens all over every server I’m sure. the one I’m on their everywhere. AGS does not care, They say report it but that is just to keep you thinking they care.
in some places of the world is hard to find a spot that is not gatherable resources, so i supose that is kinda hard to fix this type of … “bug-behaviour-grief-situation”, otherwise they fixed till now, i guess.
maybe a check only for T4-5 gatherable resources beforehand you place the camp, i don`t know, as you check for other obstruction objects
i am patient, until know i didnt got to encounter this kind of “scumbags”, i guess i`m lucky
