Unfortunately, there are just too many variables to determine what is over performing and what is under performing.
Do they have thrust gems, do they not have thrust gems?
Do they have Resilience, do they not?
Do they have stacking fortify, do they not?
Do they have elemental aversion, or do they have physical?
Bottom line: TOO MUCH damage mitigation.
TTK should be quick, it should not be taking 10 healing potions, 10 rejuvenation potions, and 5 food every time you fight someone. Fights should be won and ended based off of who makes one or two mistakes first. Not based on how many times can they roll away, spam potions, and stack fortify.
I went into an arena the other day, mind you, I do not have BiS gear. It was like no one in the arena had any PvP gear on. We ended up 3-2, and it was some amazing fights. The first team to mistime a dodge roll, or the first team that didn’t parry/block lost. Everyone was hitting and getting hit for like 2-4k each auto. We probably spent more time waiting for the match to begin and the time between rounds then we actually spent fighting.
Exactly. This is what I am saying since some time.
Man, I do not want use the same weapons as everybody. I want this game to be balanced.
Maybe we should just remove most non famous weapons in new world. Let’s leave Ice Gauntlet, Blunderbuss, Bow and hatchet. And of course, loved by everyone, life staff. 5 weapons. All we need. Remove other 8. Also remove medium armor, since almost none is using it. Keep only heavy for wars, and light armor for open worls. All we need. Even better, according to the most common armor type I can see everywhere, let’s remove heavy armor too. Light armor is all we need. What for we need any balances. Let’s just all play the same build.
Ga/WH was meta on my first, old server, Muspelheim. Literally 80% of players were running like that specially in the days when there was some bug about greataxe tracking or rooting people when attacking, dont remember exactly
With all of these threads saying something is op I think everything is actually in a good place. there is just a big difference in damage and and perks from 600-625. I’ve noticed a big difference in damage and I’m not even 620 yet. I think it also has to do with utilizing perks that actually help your gameplay and not meta chasing some ability that only helps certain people, having perks that improve the abilities you are good at and abilities that you will actually trigger are more useful.
if you are letting ur opponent use consumes that often thats a skill issue, typically they pop off 1? 2 potions at most? Just kill them before they potion 4head
At least one bb user who can admit that the weapon is broken, even if he using himself
most of people gonna protect the weapons they use… i find it kinda pathetic ;d
To much mobility on skills if we combo it with light armor is untouchable and too OP. Damage with full resilent set is well balanced just this skill where it dodge back it seems to be too big.
BB has no CC besides a slow (blast shot is garbage, stuns yourself) and can only do good damage from up close. The only part that needs tuning down is the fortify for war.
Blunderbuss is definitely overtuned atm. Their burst potential is just too high compared to any other weapon. If it was at least high risk, high reward - ok. But this is not the case, they’re also incredibly tanky with their fortification proc under 30%(?) Hp
