This game was great for one patch. Granted, it’s not as bad as it was, but still.
Sure, if you want to run a 450 damage stats glass cannon build then you should be a terror - until someone kills you with a pool noodle, which is what should happen to glass cannons if they get hit.
I was running hatchet with an elemental gem in it and if I was ever caught I could usually kill 2 or so in a massive group if I couldn’t get away. Pretty fun tbh, but I missed pellets when I was aiming dead on someone and then I’d teleport to the right, or a bit behind me after my combo occasionally.
@IDarkStar There is still so much upcoming for New World. The team has not stopped working and will continue to bring out content and bug fixes. We want to get New World to its potential!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not on the verge of quitting, but I’m a PvP player moreso than PvE and OPR has been unplayable in my opinion and skillless due to desync. It’s all about cheese mechanics due to it, so I have been staying away. When I used BB I would teleport frequently even while not even fighting and sometimes right after my combo. I swear my cross hair was dead on cuz I play FPS’s too so I’m not bad at aiming or anything, and I’d do no damage and teleport a few feet a random direction.
In the meantime, I’m grinding out all PvE gear and maxing trade professions, acquiring the gear and trophies and trying to help my company win wars.
So lemme rephrase, combat was so good for one patch, idk what happened but 1.4.1 brought desync back.
@IDarkStar thanks for your feedback and transparency! We’ll make note that players like yourself have noticed the desync in New World again after update 1.4.1. We’re always looking for ways to improve the game and we find these comments helpful. We will make sure this reaches the development team for further analysis!
On another note @BRGF , just know how appreciated you and the team are! I’ve been in love with this game since the first time I played it and haven’t looked away since.
I noticed azoth shot is making autoattacks to overlap. If you spam left click while using azoth shot both attacks will go at the same time resulting in a huge burst in less than a second
Doesn’t seem to work with any other ability except azoth shot

It just makes it so after you cast the skill the attacks go faster in a row but there is no overlap. Still even then its worse than clawshot for the combo.
Yeah it’s really good that GA, IG, and infamy have another addition to their group.

I hope people realize this is a meme opr build, not to say the damage isn’t crazy, but in a war or even a duel this build get’s countered by any form of CC. The whole combo starts with a leaping strike (their only movement/escape skill) so if you land 1 grav/shower/scream after that its a wrap every single time.
With that said, I do think the burst is still somewhat of a problem to most players so we will see some sort of nerf or change so that this chain won’t be do-able in the near future.
Good build though, definately fun for now just rolling around picking people off on the sides of OPR haha.
Yeah def wouldn’t run this in a war but I think it works great for duels too.
You can escape a grav well / ice shower with shield rush. And if you use this for war you will be picking on healers most.of the time not fighting in clumps.
Even if you make a.kill and get graved and die it’s still worth.
Wars are determined by clump fights picking off even one healer doesn’t do anything. Also after the first kill you get any solid team would just punish you every single time you try and dive a healer, this only works against teams who do not communicate and play far apart.
And with the new war changes simply trading 1 for 1 is not worth it at all.
Worst case scenario you are trading 1 for 1 + grav wells and abilities. (1 axe alone will not kill u).
And while doing that you are providing the rest of your team an almost permanent 10% empower for the whole war. You are also able to bomb pretty well in the downtime with the shrapnel.
If you don’t see the value in that i don’t know what to tell you.
