So,
I think the boni you get from being in the faction that controls an area are not big enough. If you are not part of the owning faction, everything besides the fast travel bonus do not make that big of a difference imo. The fast travel bonus gets a bit less important once you got a house in that town. The supply cart gives resources worth 2 minutes of farming.
As PvP in this game is already badly incentivized (Or not at all on max lvl) the main reward you get from doing it is helping your faction to get control over an area, by helping to throw it in conflict state (Or defending an already owned area) and maybe helping in wars.
To me it seems that all the work you got to do for this is not really worth the bonus you get.
While playing an MMORPG you’d want the time you spent to be rewarded, by getting better gear, titles, whatever. But to me it seems that if I am not part of a big faction that controls areas and fights in wars, etc. (Which probably a lot of players aren’t) there is really no big reason for me to do PvP. That is, besides the mere fun of it - But there is no reward for doing it.
Also, the whole faction war stuff drives the whole game, yet I see myself getting less excited if my faction takes or loses something as I begin to feel that for me personally it does not make a huge difference.
