Whatever some frustrated person who fail miserably says on reddit or whatever forum there comes another dozens or hundreds guys repeating the same crap.
Often seeing forum threads “i returned, how is the game”, “i returned … etc”.
Why we have to relly ourselves on what others says?
Either u are new or returned, play the game and make ur OWN OPINION! Then u can decide if wanna continue playing or quit the game.
But worse are those sad trolls that quit the game for weeks or months but still staying on forum provoking flames and talking trash about how bad the game it is.

I have gear for almost all weapons maxed out. For pvp there’s few bis pieces for each. Ofc not all sets are bis and only a few that I main. Got enough shard to upgrade the ward sets too for each type the gear in my storages but that’s not the point. I only told you that people are selling their accounts which you said it’s not true. I think the game it’s not pay to win. You seem troubled and argue against every argument, forgetting what you said

These problems are MMO problems, and not specific to NW at all.
People will always find a way to spend cash to get around doing legwork, but to be intellectually dishonest and believe that AGS doesn’t care or isn’t actively banning RMT activity is a farce.
If they didn’t you’d see RMT messages flooding general continuously at all hours, because those people genuinely don’t care and will spam hundreds of messages a minute if you don’t stop them.
RMT is an empire built on stolen credit cards, accounts and in general just a nasty business. And the only sure fire way to fight it, AGS is curently doing. It’s a people problem on the other end, people keep buying the gold.

Why do people think that the difference between p2w or not has anything to do with whether or not the publisher actually sells these items themselves?
In my mind, it makes more sense to include any game in which currency or items can be sold for real money by anyone BUT said real money transactions can give a person advantages in-game.

Look, it’s simple. NW let’s anyone craft legendary gear to sell on the trade post.
These legendaries are not meant for you to equip and expect to use them at their highest power (gear score).
They are meant for you to level them up at your pace using the Expertise system.
Now, where is the anti pay2win in all of this? It is the expertise system.
It’s the part that cannot be bought even with a million dollars unless some moron is willing to risk getting forever banned by selling their entire Steam account and all the games in it and losing the money spent in the process and of course getting banned.
Literally the only way is to buy an account and that’s not something that’s readily available and on mass. And it wouldn’t even be worth it to the seller given the amount of investment that would take in terms of time and effort.
Shards can be bought but they only allow you to bump up expertise at a limited rate daily. So, still no instant pay2win like in WoW and FF14, ESO…etc.
So, buying gold will never help you as much as you think it would in New World. And neither does botting, that’s if you don’t get instantly reported and banned as is usually the case unless someone is trolling and taking videos and screenshots to hurt the game’s image on purpose.

The whole expertise means that this is anti afk is only true until you hit 625. Which most people who play have on at least one set of armor.

Well if you reach GS 625, you’ve “won” the gear progression and earned it yourself and only by yourself and at your pace regardless of hardcore vs casual, anyone can achieve it equally.
After that it’s your skill that matters.

If you consider a game P2W because third party sellers break rules of said game and do RMT then all MMORPGs are p2w, thats how it is. Because i can get gold for real money in every bigger MMO within minutes.

All of the major companies that own ww and ef, like Supple, have been selling gold since the start of time, there’s even videos of people following the bots to the Govs themselves; there are videos of Supple leadership engaging in gold selling.
None of this is a secret, so it’s bonkers that someone would create a thread claiming there’s no p2w or unfair advantages in new world and then ask mods to ban anyone who says otherwise.

Everyday you find at least 5 bots that u can just track and follow, go ahead of them, farm what you see them farming and you’ll see their bot malfunction behaviour.
I’m pretty convinced that even AGS introduced OPR and arena bots after patch announcement, to make it look like the game is becoming popular again.
Just a bit of doubt about this last statement, but I’ve definitely ran into real bots in both arena and opr, the exact day when suddenly all servers started having queues all over the place.
Like I’ve been saying, these are scam sites. And even if you can buy from them, you will 1. Get banned, 2. Cannot buy power through equipping the best gear because of Expertise
