I couldnât believe the amount of bots I found today when farming low end mats in WW and FL. I reported several, and missed the names of several more. I tried to communicate to make sure they were bots (would hate to false report ) but none responded and they continued to run the same route.
@Luxendra when is AGS going to clean up the gathering bots? I suggest the AGS team go research an MMO called Silkroad Online. It was actually a fun game. Then came the bots. Silkroad did nothing about themâŚand pretty soon every square inch of every zone was crawling with botsâŚbots gatheringâŚbots levelingâŚbots farming experience. The game isnât around anymoreâŚbecause after a while the only things still logging inâŚwere the bots. Do something!!
I keep thinking⌠It would be possible, when receiving a report - via game, to run a pattern detection script. If there is a movement pattern then a card (such as sale of items) is displayed, with random and simple instructions to a human, for example: âPress X key twice + 4 times left arrow + etcâ. Wait a while, if the interaction doesnât occur, take the player off the ground and apply a suspicious point. If the player accumulates x suspect points, take action. Measures can also be devised to avoid false reporting so as not to load the server with unnecessary pattern checks. AnywayâŚ
Yeah thatâll go well. There is one post with someone posting a video of them getting an AFK timer while in a war, as the person is actively in combat, heâs considered AFK. If they canât even solve that, your idea would take months, if not, years to produce.
That personâs company lost that war too because a bunch of people got disconnected for being AFK. In an active war. As theyâre in active combat.
Bots plague Dominora as well. Thereâs 80 bots around First Light and Windsward late at night. They especially love motes.
The freezing of the economy, and low gold revenue only fuels botting. AGS doesnât have a commitment to remove bots and hasnât communicated anything on this.
Interestingly, if they level the character to 60 through botting, they could have a secondary market to sell those characters, win-win for bot gold farmers, lose-lose for the community.
This minimap is allowed by devs, because its just reading ingame info about you current position(right upper corner). There is no difference that i use this map or open interractive one on the second monitor. Or you just resentful bot owner who got banned?
They already nerfed the fishing treasure chests because of bots, like that would solve the problem. Just hurt everyone else and the bots are still there.
Donât give out your wild guesses as a truth. Devs clearify the situation with this minimap long ago. And its allowed. But its funny how narrow minded people like you trying to take away problem with bots and blame such harmless thing
