I guess we’re just going to ignore the legion of mining bots on the loop around Alinoth + mountain areas to the east of Monarch Bluff. I reported at least seven in the last hour.
How do I know they are bots? Their pathing behavior is very specific and never deviates from node to node. And, if you run ahead of them and mine the node before they do, the bots will still stop and try to mind the node on top of you. They even stop at empty nodes that haven’t spawned.
Bots will never go away, doesn’t matter how many are nuked.
The amount of real life $$$ they make from gold buyers, will always give them motivation.
Did people really think Fresh Start servers would be really different?
Players got swept up in the hype and AGS is milking that hype.
It’s not really a Fresh Start for players. It’s a “Fresh Start” for AGS to re-launch their game as if it were new.
And we are surprised with bots being in MMO’s… why?
Surprised? Absolutely not. I fully expected bots to infect fresh. I guess that’s my fault for being hopeful they wouldn’t as huge of a problem still after all this time.

Bots are a major problem in all MMO’s. Better yet, the root cause to bots being there in the first place is generally just the community resorting to RMT to be fair. Considering that’s where most bots come from.
I’ve been called bot a couple of times today and I don’t even farm that much. Maybe it’s because I know the way by heart to every damn turn since I maxed 2 characters already. People see bots everywhere, it’s getting out of hand.
