Still an issue in-game unfortunately. I watched this bot just run into the fence in Windsward, he is part of a botting group starting with xxbb###, located on Oceana.
Not sure if AutoHotkey (AHK) is being detected as cheating, if not, it should.
I believe NetLimiter is being detected now, not sure.

good catch - too many botters still in the game though there have been some improvements with bans- amazon should make internal monitors in the game that get promoted based on good catches such as these - I’m certain more people would get involved in reporting to get rid of these botters/gold sellers

Is from last month, before they started doing 72 hour windows on being able to trade etc. - but thought it was worth sharing. I got no idea what the botting situation is like now, don’t play on a server that gold sellers seem interested in.
Yeah, what they have done, sadly just slows them down but doesn’t prevent. Hopefully we can start seeing more cheat/bot/ahk detections. Thus, is why I am linking the well-known sites to speed up the process in detections, but there will always be private ones as long as AGS can implement detections based on the methods currently and previously used.
Combatting gold sellers and bots is definitely something I’ve seen AGS be productive on, moreso than most MMO devs - and nobody’s really been able to solve how to get rid of them completely in 20+ years so I’d imagine it’s not an easy task.
There’s also the one 66996w (level 30 logger) that repeatedly would run up to trees I was already cutting and try to log the entire time I was cutting then when the tree fell run off. Following it for 2 min you can see it’s obvious bot, but it’s made level 30 from just logging and still active. (server Oceana)
I reported and asked in global for help from others to report, because we all know a single report does nothing but mass reports can get a legit player banned. No one else was willing to step outside windsward for a minute to do it. One guy said someone asked the same thing the night before on the same bot. (wasn’t me)
Then few minutes later there are two others on the other side of WW with the wolves running around killing and skinning wolves, same two I saw a few days before when I wasn’t sure if they were bots. Something like Ifishingboy and Ifishingme. (appparently they were converted fishing bots after the fishing chest nerf)
I can’t believe nothing can be done about these when it’s so obvious.
Tbh, it kinda kills a little bit of the spark to play this game when you not only have to actually compete with a bot for the trees you are cutting, but you know an hour later thousands of wood will be dumped on the TP for rock bottom prices making your efforts worth less and less.
A theory could be, AGS is keeping them around to let the servers appear fuller than what they actually are, imagine if they banned all the bots, would it be a 10%, 15%, or even 25% decrease in players? AGS could keep them around until the next big update to draw more players back in and then possibly start working on banning the bots. Just a theory.
