Bow enemies in melee distance will club you two-handed with the bow instead of trying to draw their bow in melee distance.
Should players do the same? Drawing your bow in very close quarters seems dumb and not feasible at all.
Similarly, how are you supposed to reload your musket in such close quarters with a hostile pressing you? Maybe use it like a quarterstaff or stick a bayonet on it and use it like a spear.
There is an ability that creates the distance again between you and the enemy. Mainly if the enemy reached you, you’re probably doomed already unless your second weapon caters to melee combat.
Positioning as a ranged DPS and a healer is everything, anticipating the gap-closing moments is a must. Besides, what will the bow attack speed be? What’s the damage of that wooden weapon and at which point would it be meaningful to actually hit with your bow as melee rather than find other solutions/abilities?
