Bow hits half as hard as before?

Oh I don’t know could it be maybe it’s because the Heavy bow attack time have been sped up to almost as fast as the light bow attacks?

Hehe this forum. There are now both “bow op” AND “bow up” posts at the same time.

The truth is that bow, like spear, is now one of the better balanced weapons in the game.

I feel like my RoA doesnt hit everyone it should too but I am not noticing a damage loss.

I fight lmb monkies last two days. They literally just left click spam while out of range because they know nothing will happen to them because grit. I had one at zero health after I totally outplayed him but he must of had beserk. I kept hitting him with zero health. Then came healer he was full instantly. This needs to change.

Damage seems fine.

In my short time testing im not super thrilled with the bow so far. Hitbox feels super big. Too big. The combo shot timing is different and is really throwing me off. Sometimes my bow doesnt even fire after a roll. Anyone else experiencing this?

Feels like noob bow players got a big buff and all the tiny mechanics I spent hundreds of hours grinding are far less rewarding.

Should get better over time with practice I guess…

The only time you walk away from a GA and WH is if they fail at clicking LMB consistently enough. But it might be just on your server where people can walk away, because on my server we have sweaty bruisers that can stick to players like glue with a combination of LMB and shift button.

M1 and shift is different the just m1 spam they are giving up deffense for offense

Yes and if you understood basic fundamentals of PvP then you’d know that that simply pressing M1 can force a dodge from people, they simply just don’t get to “walk” away from the melee’s IMPROVED tracking. But I’m disappointed that you didn’t know about how basic interactions like this work and how it all plays in every scenario.

people have been doing this since the lunge nerf. Also light can easily get away from medium with just the rolls. if they get on you with full stam and you have no defensive abilities that is more on you then them.

Well what do you expect? For medium to have more mobility than light? Obviously you can’t have the same mobility as light with the defenses of medium unless you just roll light as well. Unfortunately, this lunge/tracking buff to all melee weapons + stamina regen nerf allowed light melees to easily catch anyone that’s not running bow/rapier.

Again, you can keep trying to defend melee but everybody knows that there are MUCH MORE Melee players than there are Mages/Dex combined. (you cannot dispute that fact no matter what you say)

Though with the death of a certain unused ranged weapon, comes the birth of the same players swapping to “Bow” and that bow pickrates have shot up by 50% due to the insanely good buffs.

there are so many melee because we just came off a patch where melee was busted af and I’m already seeing a good amount of ranged.

That’s expected, this game isn’t melee world, there are other weapons, naturally those other weapons should get fair treatment as melees do because if this patch didnt come it would still be more melees than ranged. Now we can see a fairly GOOD amount of ranged to balance against melee.

So light is less, heavy is less, but heavy has a quicker release time now.

Not to mention roots after shooting, hipfire back with a vengeance and Stam nerfs.

Bow is even more stuffed than it was before.

I’d prefer it went back to what it was. Sure hit box is better but the mobility is terrible.

What a shock that this update benefited GA/WH. Cc diminishing returns is a non event.

I disagree, now instead of worrying about 3-5 GA users catching me and trying to kill me, NOW there is 3-5 or more bow users shooting arrows like machine guns all over the map from far away trying to kill me.

WIth 3-5 bow users, that would happen. The amount of dmg is less, than it was before. which would be a good trade off if mobility on the bow was ok, it’s far worse.

Diminhsing returns on CC will only come into play for melee, given the walk after firing on bow, we’re just fodder for the melee.
