Bow hitbox is actually bigger than FS hitbox.
they’re the same, a fact that most people don’t know is that if you’re closer to your target bow’s crosshair doesn’t match where the projectile will land.
if you’re too close to your target you need to aim to the right, it has been like that since the game launched. so some guys think that because the auto landed aimed so far to the right it means that the projectile is bigger, but it isnt the case, because if you didn’t do that in the first place you would miss the shot.
I think that most people know that by now tbh, but. The displacement of the projectile to where the actual reticle is doesn’t account for that completely. It’s bigger.
thats precisely what i just said, he’s close to the target and aiming to the right, if he aims directly in the target he would miss the shot. Fire staff doesn’t have the same issue tho, the crosshair actually matches the projectile.
If he aimed AT it he would still hit it. Just not where he wanted.

Crosshair was not on dummy, but it connected. Actually I don’t think he put the crosshair on the dummy the entire video.
Yep, but in that case i can assure you that this auto WITH FIRESTAFF would connect even if he aimed to the left But with bow it wouldn’t. Bow’s projectile is more right sided while firestaff is centered.
I’m pretty sure that only applies to light attacks because bow heavies hitbox is so large that it doesn’t matter if your aim is slightly to the left, event with the arrow displacement. I think that a bow light might miss though.
About that im not completely sure either. But an honest comparision would compare aiming to the right and also to the left with both weapons and that’s why i’m saying that this is not an honest one.

People need to stop treating bow players like they are going to miss every shot and start using a shield if they are melee
Actually a lot of people on these forums asked for removal of all staggers from bow. Apparently they cant deal with being stunned for barely a half second while they chase.
At this point it seems no matter what they do ppl will complain about bow and bow players. I been bow since launch and all I see is complaining about how trash bow is. No matter what my numbers are im accused of stat padding which is kinda weird since i play pretty aggressive and on points as best i can while running less than 100 con. not every clas is meant to be played the same way. Now that bow is solid i get accused of running meta??? Idk if I agree about this Idea that the hitbox is too big but i got used to the original hit box so do what you want there. I just know regardless the community is gonna complain.
We ignore the fact that shields exist, healers can take a bruiser from 1 hit to full health instantly, bruisers can build up tons of defense while not having to sacrifice damage. Its like give us a damn break. Yea tons more ppl are using the bow now but most of them dont do well with it to be honest.
regardless tho I spent 2 months being 1 shot by ice gauntlet and melted by void gauntlet combo. Grav well was OP and even now its still good as long as you’re not dumb about how you use it.
Im pretty hype for the coming changes and cool with removing the stun from pen shot but this idea that they need to just nerf bow is bs in my opinion.
People want to have all the advantage in every scenario. that’s just not how this works. there are pros and cons to every weapon in the game.
and ye musket needs some work but not as simple as to just buff damage and reduce reload time. they do still melt light and even some medium armor users in the right situation.
the game needs a ton of balancing and reworks but also some of the community needs to accept that they should not have all the advantages.
I run bow because I love the aesthetic but all this complaining is a bit OD as I didnt see this much complaining about ice gaunt, void gaunt or grav well. not saying i didnt see any just not nearly as much.
but this bowpr stuff lol im like damn just let me have some fun.
also this idea that bow requires no skill and all other weapons require skill, i also find odd.
Its not even “BowPR” on my server anymore. Its almost all S&S cheese builds. So good job with bow nerfs as bow didnt even keep people interested one entire patch cycle despite how “OP” it supposedly is.
for real, there are easy weapons, a little bit hard ones and there’s also lifestaff. Try it out and you’ll see what i’m talking about. Legal aimbots shouldn’t have a place in an action game, and they argue that there’s no way to land heals if it wasnt that way. Well welcome to the ranged side of things, where people actually have to aim while on low fps wars.
Welp devs basically just confirmed bow is getting nerfd in the latest dev video.
Guessing everyone should just go LS/VG yea?
Balancing I’m sure is no easy task but catering to people that just want to maintain a meta seems like the wrong way to go.
Maybe I’m just being dramatic though.
