I read somewhere in the dev blog that you wanted to make combat fluid: easy weapon switching, dodging and ability buffering. It was somewhat that for a bow before, but after the patch, you aim, shoot then you have to wait for the arrow to hit the target, then half a second, only then you’re allowed to switch or dodge. You’re somehow stuck in the animation for very long time.
I shoot heavy attacks (for the most part), and thought that was the change for the heavy hitter, however, light attack also do that. You have to wait for the arrow to hit, then small pause.
this ‘‘delay’’ on the bow is horrible, pls fix this issue.
I agree, being locked into the animation after firing the arrow just feels terrible.
Also, since the last patch, we can no longer combo shots, i.e. Light attack into a penetrating shot. It’s strictly 1 attack or ability per “GCD”, making the bow feel incredibly slow and clunky. Why did they need to change this? The patch notes say they’re improving combat responsiveness, and yet they somehow manage to do the opposite…
i hope they fix this problem, now i play melee LOL
If it’s a design change, it’s terrible and I don’t understand the reasoning… But if it’s a bug, why are they not testing this stuff before it goes out…
This is intended and before it was just a bug. Read the Patch Notes regarding Bow, they wrote that some shots were faster than intended. This was meant with it.
Gonna stay therefore and have to get used to it, I assume. Still playable weapon.
yes, is still playable but is very slow to play with him expecially when u are in the light armor
Always Med Armor on Bow. The med dodge has shorter animation, so that you can spam the 300 DEX Crit Bonus and the Dodge Skill Upgrades better.
