Playing heavy armor bow is different than light armor. I’d reserve judgement until you get more experience with a build meant for bow.
VG is very strong as it is. Buffing other weaponsbis fine, but then medium and heavy armor will need to be buffed as well to allow melee to have survivability through all of bombardment. Its easier to just tone down the values of bow which are the outlier in outperforming others unbregards to damage by a good margin.
Lol this is not because Bow is weak, purely cause they can’t stand on a point. Bruisers are still needed in Wars. We had one with the opposing company used 10 bows, they actually did great outside of fort and capped all 3 points in 10 min. They were focusing our healers and mages and destroying us.
However they could never get into our fort in the next 20 min, never got point pressure, as the bows became way less effective when trying to breach the walls.
I agree. The only problem I see with the bow is the hitbox, it’s a little high (everything else is wonderful). Anyone is a good bow player because it’s so easy to hit
But then another problem comes in, making the weapon competitive with others, such as the musket, for example. If you nerf the bow now, other weapons will become meta due to ease of play and everyone will use it
I personally don’t think bow is broken atm. Legit all they did was remove the animation locks and forced walking after shots. If you look at the patch notes they actually decreased the damage of shots but reduced the charge time.
The real problem in OPR is because barely anyone played bow before because it legit felt awful to shoot then walk and shoot now you get everyone trying and realizing hey this is pretty fun = too many people playing bow.
Solutions - Make another OPR map that has more CQB
Introduce a cap to the amount of weapons in the match - I do not prefer this but other games like BF4 will have sniper limits in games to do the same thing and it works.
Naw it’s OP right now. The increased hit box means it takes less skill to hit your shots. My friend has been a cracked bow player since launch, he would always finish top 3 in OPR prior to this patch.
Now everyone is hitting like he use to with the increased hit box. He literally does not miss with the new patch, and called it “broken”. Lowering the skill ceiling for the weapon made it OP. Either needs to shrink hitbox (somewhere in between where it was and now is) or just cut damage on the weapon by a certain amount.
I know it’s a lot of fun, I’ve been messing with it cause why not, but it’s ok to acknowledge it is slightly overtuned.
nerf bow after they nerf the 0 IQ SNS leap and fix the reap iframe bug that causes u to go 0 stamina instantly. or maybe nerf rapier mobility which indirectly nerfs bow?
bow may be dominating opr but it’s definitely not dominating any pvp content outside of that like arenas and war. any team with more than 1 bow in competitive(stack vs stack) arenas matches is throwing and is an easy win
Lol idk about that. A 3 stack with 2 bows and a S/S hatchet is kind of insane with good players. Also bows are performing well in war, so it’s completely viable.
I agree S/S could use a nerf. Idk how they nerf rapier other than longer cds? Make reposte 180 instead of 360. I’d be down for both of those changes as well. This doesn’t mean that the bow should be tuned down as well
that’s a good pubstomp comp but any team without a healer has a huge disadvantage against any competitive stack with their own healer, especially if theyre mainly medium. and then u don’t have the option of pairing 2 bows with a healer since they cant peel for their healer. not to mention u can just use thrust gems and render that entire comp obsolete

It does seem to be tapering a tad the last couple of days though I don’t spam opr’s. I prefer arena’s myself and wars. Seems like I see more players adopting the scitzo one-shot build that I also have shifted to myself.
Idk most “competitive” teams on my server end up slotting gems to counter us if they lose to us more 2-3 times. ego is still a big thing.
3 dps teams shouldn’t be consistently winning against healer comps (I’m assuming they have comms and gear). that just means the healer sucks tbh. even 3 dps teams with 3 plagued crits and putrefying scream etc is still a joke against an experienced healer team
