So you think an aoe tank weapon with tons of cc and permanent grit should do more damage than a single target DPS weapon?
INTERESTING.

its the highest base damage weapon in the game that takes several seconds to charge up a heavy with two rends it should be able to do more damage then a weapon that can attack twice as fast. the bow is gonna out dps it
I guess you need to be more specific on the comparison. A heavy headshot after a dodge roll with the right gem from over 25m on a target they havenât hit in a while (bow has a lot of damage modifiers, is the point)⌠Versus a hammer aoe ability.
Not really a fair comparison?
my guy im talking about a heavy auto not an ability
Right but base damage means nothing with how many modifiers bows have. You also have to aim down sight for a bit to get that heavy off. And the bowâs heavy basics just got nerfed hardâŚ
lol wth
That phys aversion gear everyone passed up starting to look real good lol
Itâs not a Meta problem. itâs a lack of role-based matchmaking which is incredibly hard to implement beause there isnât a cross-server game mode feature.
Itâs gonna feel always the same. you gonna lose more games to number of healers. you gonna have a team with all DPS and not a single tank. you gonna be in a team of new level 60 vs owners of EF.
Itâs not a Meta issue.
Hey OP, I agree the bow is overtuned and hopefully itâs adjusted soon ![]()
I made a lengthy post elsewhere on this issue but have been reading this thread since you created it. Cheers
TL;DR Bowâs arrows projectile size is too big. Backed up by research and data
If youâve played on a number of servers youâll know that every server is a bit different. I was on one that was at least two metaâs behind. Is EVERYONE playing bow? No, on some servers more then others but still no. But there has been a HUGE uptick in the number of bow players to the point where they will be the majority of players over a number of matches. And yes I do see a match where almost everyone is bow, and others where bow numbers are more reasonable.
Looks like your playing musket wrong. As a bow player i get hard countered by muskets. They hit me for 4k headshots. In order for me to hit them that hard i have to use a heavy. Most of the OP muskets are running 300dex, 150 int, void gem and the void/keen ring. It hits like a truck.
and aside from the ones using targeting exploits,
Aside from the ones who played Bow before it was meta and have 2000 hours of practice on it.
Fixed it for you.
please, more than half of musket and bow players use aimbots.

I play with 300 dex/207 intel/5 con, and a 625 musket (usually infamy).
Also my damage difference between the bow and musket I mentioned before was me using a bow with my musket gear (high intel). Iâd shoot a target in OPR with my musket and then shoot them with my bow to see the damage difference. The damage difference between the bow and musket *might be a lot higher than what I described if I put all 500 points into dex.
You can just test it on a dummy if you do not believe me. With 300 dex/150 intel and testing a musket and bow, the bow heavy attacks hit about 40% harder than the musket, and thatâs before any bonus damage from rolling or not hitting a target in 10 seconds.
Would referring the nerf on 200 CON fix this?
I think the bow is just out of line with other weapons. It would make more sense to address the bow directly then buff defenses globally because that will negatively impact other weapons.
I got you FAM!
5 Con:
500P = 539.5%
300P/200S = 531%
- 250P/250S = 523.85%
- 200P/300S = 506.65%
AndâŚ
50 Con:
450P = 500.5%
- 300P/150S = 493%
- 450P/5S = 490.83%
- 250P/200S = 490.05%
- 350P/100S = 485.85%
- 400P/50S = 468.15%
- 200P/250S = 477.05%
150P/300S = 454%
Of course the numbers are subjective but your total Base damage Modifier percentage between 500 Dex and 300/200 Dex/int is 8.5% difference while and a 46.5% difference when running 50 con 450 Dex vs 300/150 musket.
Of course the numbers are subjective and arbitrary when comparing two different weapons that have different weapon base damages to begin with, but itâs an alright reference of stat split difference of power.
I also get accused on a regulat basis and I donât.
Definitely some do use it, but very few and I only see muskets. How should that even work with a bow. You shoot where you think your target will go, not where it is.
