I honestly believe all this mumbo jumbo of nerf X or nerf Y should be banned honestly.
20% of this forum is whinning cause of this weapon or that weapon, its just so darn annoying, jeez.
Play the game and stop complaining about superficial crap and if you dont like it than move to another game allready and leave the forums for constructed criticism.
Just a side note, i dont even play bow or musket for that matter, im a tank/healer so i aint biased towards no one.
Bows and Muskets should have an linear damage drop-off after a certain distance
Can @Annihilation be banned from the forum? I seriously don’t think this guy has made any valuable contributions and literally every post is him asking for a nerf on whatever kills him that week because he’s a 50con light musket player… he’s actually toxic.
Lets just completely remove every weapons except GA, SS, WH, and soon GS. That’s what these people want. Those who want to play other weapons should just go play other MMOs.

Now I know there is no way you’re going to get hit 5k in a single hit with that much protection. Most you’d probably see is 3.5k to 4k and that’s gonna be a headshot. Idk why you’re gonna start the post off with this farce.
Bow isn’t in a bad place. The only thing that could use a nerf is the triple shot ability since that does allow the bow user to essentially get 3 heavies off in a split second. Otherwise it’s fair game on the bow.
Honestly most bowmen are garbage and can’t even hit you. The real issue is musket. I still can’t fathom how they’d let that weapon in this game in its current form.
The reason why you see so many Bowmen is because it is one of the top solo queue weapons for OPR. But of course this will be any ranged weapon since it can allow you to hit your 3k points every match.
Most bruisers are hard as hell to kill if they have a healer with them… But most people are acting anti social in a game. This is why solo queue builds like the bow are popular.
They buff int and dex more this game might as well tell melee players to leave and dont come back.
half the OPR games is just bows. this alone should tell you theres something wrong with it.
There’s something wrong with the scoring system and objective design of oprs. That’s why you see so many bows and muskets.
How many bows and muskets do you see in war?
A very simple answer as to why you see so many bows, muskets and fs in opr is simple, you can have fun regardless of how the opr will turn out to be. If your team is badly composed and faces 2 premade teams you will never have fun as bruiser, but as ranged player that can disengange easier and pick fights in smaller engagements. Scoring is also scuffed to the point where someone can simply statpad and be first despite doing nothing for the team.
I have to disagree here. As a player that likes to experiment with all kinds of builds I wouldn’t consider the bow OP atm, if anything the musket packs way more of a punch and you can stay much further away. In my opinion it’s all about what build you are running vs what build you are facing. Also, i’d like to mention that the appeal of bows for their characteristics is why you see lots of them, not neccecarily their huge dammage output over other weapons.
If you struggle with bows I would reccomend counter building against them, YouTube is a great resource for counter builds. Lately I’ve seen lots of players running Hatchet + sword & shield to counter bows and it is indeed effective. The void gauntlet and Ice gauntlet is also misserable to play against when running a bow build.
Also while im on the topic of builds and counter builds, there are a lot of builds that absolutely decimate range builds atm, yet you don’t see range builds spaming the forums because certain builds smack em up, It’s because they have disadvantages too.
Some personal advice id give in this situation is to run Thrust resist gems and projectile resist perks on your gear, It is very strong against bows/muskets and gives you a huge advantage when fighting them, also its kind of fun to see them panic watching their shots do like 800 dammage. Countering the bow players momentum is also how you kill them easily, they rely on kiting other players, if you slow/stun/root them they can’t kite.
EDIT NOTE:
The problem with OPR atm in my opinion is that theres no good sorting system for builds, there should be a balance of builds on each team. If theres 15 distance builds vs 5 on each team it gets annoying and demoralising to play against. Same goes if you have majority of tanks on one team vs close to none on the other, or 10 healers vs 2… you get the idea.
Bow is not an issue.
U see many ranged in OPR cuz its easiest way to get the 3.000 points. But just cuz of that do NOT need to nerf Bow or all ranged weapons.
Mortal empowerment needs to get removed asap. Now you can Feed Players with stacks Like in League of Legends with the soulstealer. Im wondering when the First players gets blamed for feeding and IT gets really toxic
That’s not how balance works. Why do people think this? Are you gonna in turn buff my constitution to be more per point? 6k/8.5k health is almost 3/4 in one hit. You gonna buff everything else to two shot?
Really? Bows are the most primitive and one of the oldest ranged weapons in he WORLD and they don’t fit into this game? How is that exactly?
I don’t understand why people don’t run thrust resist or physical aversion if they’re struggling that hard with bow/musket… these things exist for a reason and work really well.
That’s like me running full onyx then crying to nerf firestaff when a fireball does 3/4 of my hp
Bow has become an epidemic, on SA servers at least half of the players in outpost are playing bow + rapier, because the weapon is extremely easy to play. This weapon needs a nerf.
Sorry I didn’t know having 10% thrust resist + physical aversion + 5 piece resilient wasn’t enough to not lose 3/4 my HP in a single attack LMAO.
So ask for a weapon buff for your weapon as a good counter for this
Yeah no that’s not how balancing works, bud. Sometimes things need nerfed mmk you can’t just slam the gas pedal on everything.
I think you have the right idea just the wrong approach to this. Maybe in 10 years we can go the direction in the way of the nerf but right now we have a slow lumbering system that players some players can land 1-2-3 solid hits and your dead sure, if your gear isnt good, if you havent spec’d your character well, if you simply playing the game and not playing the stats portion of the game. Yeah your looken to get a right thrashing, im a pve player as well and i get killed constantly by kids who have done their characters with one task in mind. Thats a choice ive made and a choice they have made. Many are perfectly willing to give some pointers on how to bring your character up if you ask.
