Exactly what i tried to make the bow become with this changes. Since it’s the hardest and with the slowest fire rate ranged weapon, with skills that deal one big hit and with long cd, it should have a niche in dealing with big tanky target: an exclusive mechanic that ignores fortify and armor penetration.
Fire staff is meant to be a spammable medium range weapon, musket is a long range high single target damage, bow right now is in the middle and is good at none.
The bow does not need a flat damage buff, it needs armor penetration and it needs that ridiculous .33 root removed or reduced by 75% Just these two changes will bring the weapon back and the final change would be a slight increase to arrow speeds. These changes are reasonable and would make the weapon more fun but still have a very high skill ceiling.
but fs has half or less the cd of a bow, and can spam aoe skills, while having an easier time hitting stuff; ig has the strongest cc in the game and doesnt matter what it gets in the shower, it’s just dead.
Bow has no cc, has long cds, and most of the time will miss. It’s just horrible
you cant just run about if musket is on to you.

4.can be absurd good in duels.
5.stacks with other musket like crazy
6.bad for wars really good in rush unlike bow which sucks at war and rush
bow can only hit you if you attack , if you run about it can do nothing, going to miss every shot . even 2 bows cant kill a running target at all.
now if 2 musket players are on to you then you die in 3 seconds tops.
bow has one of worst single target dmg in the game.
you can die in 3 sec easy but it takes a lot of time and skill to kill any good player in rush
its minutes not seconds.
I pray at this point they just give the game to modders. The players are so far ahead the devs when it comes to ideas and game direction. I bet we’d get a lot more polished game than this and it’s probably take a week.
Bow cannot stay how it is, bow is slowly being drained away from every part of the game. bow does need a maybe even rework at this point, almost everything with it needs an adjustment in some way shape or form
well, guess it’s time to quit. I really have no reason to play any other weapon: i dont consider any weapon fun and rewarding, they all feel scripted with either ccs or braindead easy to aim and with no counterplay like fire staff and musket. Blunderbuss MAY potentially be something that requires some skill to play, so can be funny (i doubt though since you just spam 3 skills in one second), but other than that, i just lost interest in this game. Can’t wait for a month and a half for some possible bow change, probably worthless considering how they’ve always treated it.
April is the last patch I’m gonna wait for some rework on the bow. All points have been already explained. There’s no reason to pick a bow user in a war. The current meta is disgusting, and some weapons have been meta for too long.
If bow is untouched in next patch, another player that will be gone
I mean, I hate to say it but after innumerable threads of bow feedback, those two clowns in charge of weapon / combat balance have clearly, clearly established they don’t give a damn about bow users NOR all the exhaustive feedback. They have willfully ignored all of that, and further refuse to show up and answer on these boards and we are left with some CM to face the music. What a joke.
