Bow users can no longer do chain combo shots after PATCH 1.1

I played the bow change in the PTR and it just felt so terrible that I thought they will change it to allow for combos. Boy am I disappointed… They didn’t listen to the community but who knows maybe they will do something with it in the near future. I can understand not doing anything with our feedbacks because it’s only been a few days. They can’t possibly take in all the feedback and rework something they’ve already put work into it.

However, I do feel like this change is unfair for bow users as I realized it’s basically not allowing animation canceling with the bow. That’s the whole idea, you have to wait for a shot to fire, and then you can proceed to do the next move. I say it’s not fair because with every weapon in this game you can animation cancel the normal/heavy auto attacks and chain it with other abilities. I speak with experience because with the Spear you can animation cancel the end part of a heavy attack or light attack with another ability right after. It feels incredibly smooth and fluid so I don’t understand why they are removing it from the bow? It does dish out an insane amount of damage but at the same time, it’s insanely hard to hit shots so if anything it’s justified to have animation canceling on a weapon that’s hard to use.

yeah makes no sense. Bow will feel so clunky and terrible now.

They did the same thing to fire mage pillar of fire last patch. Can no longer basic attack into pillar of fire. Have to wait for basic attack animation to fully finish. Feels SO bad. Worse nerf than any of the fire staff nerfs this patch because it just made the weapon feel clunky af compared to before.

Less damage is fine. Ruining the feel of a weapon is not.

Sorry that this happened to bows too. No idea why they do this instead of nerfing other things. Make a weapon go from smooth to clunky…why…

Finally we got bow nerfed. The whole community was constantly asking to get OP bow fast comboing adjusted. Good job on the fast reaction AGS and listening to the feedback.
Now we finally stand a chance as GA/WH players against this over tuned bow mechanics.

Seriously tho, this can’t be intenional. I just give you the benefit of the doubt here.

Finally bow and GA are same powerful and they need same skill level to be effective. Its called balance. Also blocking with axe should reflect back arrows to attackers like a lightsaber lets call it lightaxe. Anyone hit by lightaxe should die IRL also. I also want free Jedi heavy armor to lightaxe users, so force pull, force gravity field and Jedi charge could exist in harmony. Jedi codex should be a T5 crafting material for axe users. With that they could craft 700gs light weapons. LightHammer, LightAxe and LightStaff.

Yeah this feels horrible and clunky now, why did they feel the need to change this? Was it the over-representation of bows in war perhaps?! Or our absolute dominance in all 1v1 situations?

Kneeshot is so powerful compared to bloodlust!
ITS TOTAL OF 10% slow for 2sec → GA 130% movespeed forever to you with kneeshot → 130*0.9= 117% movespeed for 2sec. Its so broken maaaan! Need a nerf on knee shot, maybe 5% slow for 1sec could balance it better. Also I recommend a slow immune to GA or permament grit.
(yep iam tilted about this sheet… are developers blind? )

Don’t forget thats if you hit them in the leg where you are supposed to be aiming and the hitbox is perfect and always works, so ofc thats too broken.

The devs honestly don’t play the game and you can tell. They nerfed bows because we have the highest dmg in wars when in reality the dmg we do doesn’t stick at all because of healers and pots. Meanwhile, the person wearing metal armor and a giant axe can charge and lunge light attack, these devs are beyond clueless and it won’t get fixed for a very long time. Either reroll new weapons and armor or stop playing I choose to stop playing since the crazy amount of time I’ve invested into bow. I’ve played since alpha and can honestly say anything you write on the forums are ignored by devs including bug I’ve personally reported and weren’t fixed until after launch.

This has to be the worst change. There’s now a very noticeable global cooldown to use any ability after a basic attack? Pre-patch I wouldn’t even call this animation canceling. I’d calling it abilities feeling fluid after attacking. Similar to how you can immediately use any ability after a basic attack with any other weapon?

Someone mentioned they added a global cooldown to a fire staff ability as well. However, this definitely is NOT across the board for all weapons and all abilities. Implementation of a global cooldown for ability use after a basic attack should be across the board for all weapons/abilities if that’s the direction they want to take combat. (Which I’m not advocating for; I think it feels clunky, and unresponsive) But to nit-pick certain weapons/abilities seems ridiculous and doesn’t make much sense.

I guess I’m just having a hard time understanding the thought process behind some of these random changes they make and wish they would elaborate a little more as they make a significant change in gameplay. Seems a little out of touch.

Bow was useless, now it’s unplayable and useless.

I am doing damage lower than when I started. This is is a big miss AGS.
