As a bow user, i think jump shot to cancel the lag/animation cancel of a shot is the stupidest thing ever. On top of all the other bugs and nerfs we got this patch with the crit nerf and new anti physical armor nerf.
Its not like Bows are taking over Wars or anything. Why nerf bows more?
So what, does it matter? I still have to kite, aim and know how to play. Almost all bow users I come across in opr(here comes my ego) miss like 90% of their shots. It takes a lot of practice I have to jump and align my crosshair still not to mention jump shots are only useful if you have your timing down other wise there is no point in doing it.
This is a valid argument if all ranged could do this, but they can’t. Only Bow can, thus it’s an exploit as it abuses an unintended mechanic to gain an advantage over others. Doesn’t matter if it takes practice to pull it off or not, that fact remains the same.
Would you say it’s a valid argument to say that a MUSKET is an exploit because it’s hitscan and every other ranged weapon in the game is not? Sounds like if we follow your logic then pretty much anything that’s ‘exclusive’ to a certain degree is considered an exploit. E.g Light roll dodge recovery animation cancelling = you would consider an exploit despite the developers themselves actually have said that it’s an intended mechanic.
I cant wait until the bow gets nerfed to the ground, while musket stays good, and then people cry about how op the musket is, because its hitscan. Musket also got hit last patch, with the reload dodge etc.
The game is already getting clunkier with every patch.
It’s a revolving door until fists end up being meta. A large majority of the weapons are in a bad place right now so the bow seems to be out performing. Jump cancelling has been in the game since release and it hasn’t been discussed until 1.2 where all the GA/WH went mage / VG. For people asking for this to be removed, ask yourself when did this became an issue and why are you just now bringing this topic to the forums?
they already remove animation cancelling for shots and made the bow a clunky mess now in patch 1.2 they even remove ability to use skills while in ADS now you want to remove jumping as well, might as well remove the bow because that is exactly what you are asking them to do.
the bow needs some serious assistance because these devs dont know what they doing. atm the bow is the clunkiest weapon feels like you playing in slow motion and locks out many times in ADS.
every other weapon has the ability to animation cancel into an ability after firing a basic attack but the bow does not do you call that fair?
That was based off the other person’s logic so if it makes 0 sense then it perfectly describes the fact that people are calling animation-cancelling techniques as “exploits” despite the developers themselves have claimed it to be “intended.”

Why is dodging mid reload musket animation an exploit that needed to be fixed but bow animation canceling with a jump that costs no stamina to double their rate of fire intended?
